I couldn't do that... I'd have to buy a pay as you go dongle.

I did try to get my macputer sim activated but it was a nightmare. I'm not it literate enough or energetic enough to pursue that again ATM.
Its hardly for ever!:D0 -
It was one of the things that helped Mum get through some very dark days, understanding that the hatred and the love were all part of the same thing.
You can't have strong feelings towards someone you don't care about.
I just handed it over to DW, and she looked 'surprised' by the title. Then she started to read it , and she thought it would be very helpful. So, thanks v much.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

If liR could live for a couple of years with no heating or hot water, I guess she has the resilience to cope without the internet for a few weeks.
LiR how will the midweek comms with FiR work? Will you be in a telephone box in the middle of rural nowhereland?0 -

Mobiles.
The toughest thing will be it will mean if he has a signing or something on a Monday he'll have to be in town at the weekend because his dongle won't Cope with the download limits for that sort of thing at the weekend. Its really not long though.0 -
Saw this on another thread.

Got 29 of them read. Seems we're only expected to have read 6 of them. I think it looks like a great list!
I have read 46, which surprised me as I hardly read these days as I cannot concentrate for long enough. My present challenge is reading the collection of Father Brown short stories by GK Chesterton . I have been on this mission since the end of January and have managed three so far:o.
I have felt quite envious as everyone has posted about coursera but know I do not have the mental capacity or energy presently for something like that.
My mind feels like a sponge, not in a soaking everything up/Isaac kind of way, just soggy and heavy.0 -
I've read quite a few, but only finished about half of the ones I started.
I reckon at least half I read for GCSE or A level English Lit, so I did finish them.
Finishing books is an aim for me, though, I feel it's cheating not to. It bothers me if I don't....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I've read 32.
The problem with a list like this is that they always tend to be the posh kind of books you put on your coffee table to impress people.
Most of the other books aren't a matter of time... it's lack of interest. Give me a good murder, lots of sex, rumors of romance, suspense, drama and things blowing up and unusual facts about interesting things and I'll give you my attention.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I feel like this too. There really are very few I haven't finished. Maybe three ever.
However. The delight of a broken brain and flawed memory is you can re read things not quite as if you hadn't bothered reading them before, but not with good memory of them.
When phrases stick for me now its notable.
I am a quick reader, and that's all I'm saying about that list of books.:o0
