Viva - I hope you're proud of me...
Signed up online for the local library on Sat as I was planning on reserving the irrationality books (until I found out it would cost me). Popped into town that afternoon and thought I might as well pick up my library card. As it was National Library Day, they had some small events on. As I had time to spare, I thought I'd do the 'library trail' which - as it sounds - was a quiz which took you round the library (lots of Dewey codes, natch).
Got an email this evening telling me I wonNot sure whether it was luck, my best effort at handwriting, or the smile I gave the chap collecting the answer sheets
but I've now got a £10 local shopping voucher coming my way :rotfl:

I don't know how you are supposed to get a good nights sleep while lights are twinkling, scent is being squirted at you, and music is playing.
All sounds like something designed to give me a migraine.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I hate to tell you this...but we do sometimes go to sleep like that. Perfume applied rather than squirted of course. ( I have a perfume I only wear to bed really, and then sometimes lavender oil for pillows on 'one of those days'. ...still...worse things get ....no, ok, not finishing that.
We have the radio or meditation AppS or sleep apps and the twinkly lights of sparkly corner or the dresser which we seem to be calling the ice cream dresser.0 -

I don't get migraines, but other than that, agree with you. I find falling asleep something of a challenge on occasion anyway, and definitely benefit from calm darkness....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

*turns over*
So what did you think? I'm a bit worried that the spring they found (possibly before you turned over) might be a problem at present! But the place gave me the heebie jeebies - so much work. And such a weird place.
I thought mistake to lose the atrium where the work was done - originally it was staying, but later they decided to make it into 2 storeys... I think the planners were seriously wrong to allow that. After all, that was the nerve centre and reason for the building.
Suspect it might all be a bit too big for you? (rolls eyes in a friendly manner) 15 bedrooms to come eventually and all that...
I think most of the people on these shows are crazy, but it's interesting to see what they do with such weird buildings! :rotfl:0 -

In case anyone else wants to get on down to their local library, I should mention that the Dewey code for ark building is 623.8Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
