I had to look that up.
Unlike when I was trying to work my kindle earlier, and mainly ended up looking up the meaning of 'and', 'it', 'the' etc instead of getting to the menu.
Gen - I'd be more concerned if you weren't at all worried. It's completely natural. You're human.
Gen, I'm not saying you're right to worry, but you have "the right" to worry IYSWIM.

Sounds like Wednesday is going to be quite the day for a number of us/ ours.
Edit: and yes, as zag said any of us.0 -
Windy here, but nothing scary. Still, I live in a pretty safe place weatherwise. One side of me there's a gentle slope down to a river half a mile or so away - so I'm easily high enough to be safe from flooding - and on the other side there's a large steep hill that protects me from gales and lightning and so on.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Today was generally ok, bit windy but otherwise mostly blue skies. The wind seems to have picked up tonight though.0 -
Something's whipping up outside and gusting...although I'm protected here, it's hitting the side of the building (bungalow) and sounds like it's making the patio doors move (which they don't usually do), so must be some small turbulence twists/turns going on outside.
I do HATE living close to trees - always hated wind and fearful of trees that might fall on where I am. I've always had that fear of wind/trees....not just this week.0 -
Glorious day here: 32C and sunny. I'm taking the Generalissimos up to the CBD on the ferry. Sydney really is a wonderful place to live.
Living with Leon is a rather sobering experience: I checked with my sister that she's still ok to look after the Generalissimos if something happens to both me and Mrs Generali. I've also had to look at the T&Cs of my life insurance and income insurance.0 -

.
We have water coming in from under our patio doors. Over the last week the carpet has become sodden.
We think the constant 'flood' where the external drain is full and being at the end of a downward slope has proven too much. So nothing we can do at present, just have to make a decisio on whether we will be repairing or if now is teh time to rebuild what is a pretty horrible flat roofed extn anyway.0 -
It's all kinda hit me today. TBH I'm pretty scared.
I'm not ready to die just yet.0 -

Well that's only natural and prudent to feel like that. If and when you get the all clear, don't be surprised if you suddenly want to look into buying more protection. You don't necessarily need to, but again it is quite natural to think "wow, I dodged that bullet, now what do I need".Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Gen, what's the absolute worst case scenario and percentage chance? Remember, even cancer is survivable for many people, if not most. I know he's not well thought of today, but look at Lance Armstrong, yes he was lying and took drugs, but he still survived testicular cancer and retained incredible physical health and performance. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
