Feel free to PM (or email) me if I can help, or not if not.
I have no idea what you are talking about. Should I be able to understand this, or is it cryptic on purpose?
Same to the first bit. For the second - I've guessed at something which had been happening, probably completely wrong though. Sounds like silvercar gave some great advice, and lir made it even better, anyway0 -

I just had an inkling how an organisation works, so could point lir along a path that she might not know existed.
Having been made aware of the path, lir followed it; but in an army tank rather than on tiptoes.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The Romans used to eat peacock. I heard it's not very good (Heston TV show?).
I'm having my cyst destroyed in a minute or two. I know it's silly but I'm quite nervous. Wuss.
Hope it has gone well. Let me know as DS2 may be having something similar soon. Though his has now been identified as an infected gland rather than a cyst.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks for your nice thoughts everyone.
Unfortunately it turns out that the cyst is a tumour, probably. They're doing a biopsy the results of which we'll get on Wednesday.0 -

Well, at least you got it checked out. Everything crossed for a good result. Will definitely remember the date as that is when my dad is having his MRI... I don't think his results so far are anything too concerning, but on the other hand they're bothered enough to go for a scan and biopsy.
Take care Gen x0 -
Gen, no end to the stress you're under.
. Get home, get a hug. Lots of love.

In that case I've got two guesses, either of which would have me :j at the idea of progress. Thanks for your nice thoughts everyone.

Oh Gen. I am so so sorry to hear that. Am hoping so much that it will turn out to be something that's been caught early and can be dealt with. Hugs and thoughts and prayers for you and Mrs Gen and the Generalissimos.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
She thinks it's a Warthins Tumour, a benign tumour. She told me to Wiki it. It'll need cutting out.
The alternatives are very bad. Unlikely though.0 -

I'm torn ...I feel I should try it, because one just should......but...it smells so bad. Its junk food, so I don't feel that I'm missing a rare treat in the way I would if someone had cooked it for example.
If it had been cooked for me I would try it. Like it or not. But it hasn't been, so I feel ok to say no, but also curious. DH won't actually say whether he likes it or not. He has sort of rolls of the fruit too. Looks like fruit leather.
I guess it's like comparing a fig roll with a fresh fig; they're very different things.
I love fresh figs, especially with things like cheese and ham. It's our equivalent of melon and ham or pears with Stilton.
I hated fig rolls when I was a kid but they are brilliant cycling food so I used to eat a lot of them as an adult.
I'd give them a go on the basis that:
1. I've never had them before.
2. They're highly unlikely to kill you.0 -
Just got into the office (and left home at 3h50)
Home to A10 (via A120), that's blocked just before the A414, so back to the A10 and across the A120, going through the town I live, one of the roads is shut off, so it's back onto the A120 round to the M11, to then find I can't get off of the M25 at the A1 or the M1.
Through the roadworks at J16/17, I've gone in on the M4!
Only advice I can give today is not to go out, and I'm just waiting for some daylight (only come down to drop some paperwork off for the cycles starting today/tomorrow and leave some notes), and I'm going to find another way home!
This is after getting from Addenbrookes to Ugley yesterday afternoon, then having to go back to Chesterford and get on the M11, so really unimpressed!
Anyone that's flooded, I have genuine sympathy, but the government really need to look at the road network (especially A/B/M roads) and see where the drainage system isn't working!
