Really? bacon sarnies are epic! (apols to jewish posters)
My DH doesn't observe dietary rules. ( cos he isn't religious)
Was it someone jewish here who mentioned about Jews who don't observe them on holidays or someone I know in real life?. Dh's reasonably observant members of family have varying degrees of observing dietary law....even the ones who really you wouldn't think
Would and who it would upset others in their communities to find out otherwise.
I read an interesting ( internet) theory on pork consumption and auto immune diseases this week.

Actually, for a holiday home, being "nowhere" is perfect! Of course, what we've proved between us is that it's a carp place to live permanently and a carp holiday home. I guess that's why it's still on the market.
It's only the twee-ness that'll suck somebody in at some point at some price. Just not today (this year) at this price.
The new owners will also live to regret it ... and have the same problem as they try to sell it for too much money in the future.0 -
LOL - High Court Sheriff programme on telly. They've just been dragged into a building and held hostage for filming.... Sheriff on the phone to the police.0

I know this is of no use at the moment, but for those of you (LIR) with a slow cooker and no idea what to do in it, this recipe caught my eye as an idea, allbeit the actual contents might not suit..... but it shows a type of dish that could be tried in one: http://www.budget101.com/dump-recipes/224-crockpot-honey-orange-apple-nut-bread-pudding.html0

I don't see much point in growing something I cannot eat.
Well, maybe there is one thing...;)
I ( used to:j) eat lots of flowers. Last summer we had some business colleague / now friends visit with small children and the little girl, who was three, helped me pick flowers for salads.
Her parents wrote at Christmas and said still talks about that fairy meal and now they have to feed her 'lost fairy salad ' and she says ' god bless lost and the other fairies' at grace :rotfl:0 -
Never wear hats. Must have a narrow head as when I do try them on they inevitably sink down my head until I look like Freddie (Parrot-Face) Davis. So, not for me.
I sometimes struggle to date movies set either side of WW2 (30s or 40s/50s), as the most conspicuous thing you notice is how univeral hat-wearing was.
Hats come in different sizes, heads in different shapes. DH has a big head, and often finds one size hats too small. A proper outfitters or hatter would sort you out.0 -
Most flowers you can eat, besides a diversity of flowers attracts the insects you need to pollinate the food you eat...“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
