I just wanted to say, "Thank You" to you guys for your support over the past few weeks. I'm not sure what happened to me really but it wasn't much fun.
It was made immeasurably easier by your kind words. Thank you.
Pfft. Do you thank people for breathing too?
Gen, just remember, minds are temperamental. If you should feel worse though its hard do try and remember that while it can sound trite its true that these things pass.
We're not going anywhere, and at great effortwe can be kind again.

You are fine in person too. You worry, IMO, sometimes un necessarily. I make way more faux pas than you and while I feel bad about it I think there is some responsibility in the receipt of comments too.
You are a very kind and thoughtful person.0 -
Agree - the twee house would be nice for a weekend - once.
The link in this I really like. Lovely garden. If I can ever afford or desire a holiday home I appoint you my official house hunter.

I agree that it's a lovely garden, but it's a lot to keep up for a holiday home. Fantastic if you live there, but if you turn up for one weekend in three you'll be spending your whole time gardening. Then, just when you've got it sorted, it will be time to go home again. No time to enjoy the garden. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

It's also "nowhere".... so you'd be sitting in it, not going out as everywhere's too far/pointless after you've seen it once....0 -

Anyway, next I found a random option to compact the database - and started that just before 12:30am..... and it said it'd take awhile the first time ... and it did...... at 2.30am it was still running, at 4.30am it was still running. I ended up nodding off... and woke up at 6.50am and there was some message on the screen, but I couldn't see it to read it, so thought "s0d it" and did a reboot anyway.
I then had a shower, but now need to go back and see if things have changed/improved, or if there's anything else I can poke... or maybe reinstall it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Actually, for a holiday home, being "nowhere" is perfect! Of course, what we've proved between us is that it's a carp place to live permanently and a carp holiday home. I guess that's why it's still on the market. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Perhaps they should sell it to the security services as a "safe house" seeing as how everybody who reads about it seems to inevitably decide not to go visit it, and PN says it's hard to get to in the first place.
Maybe it's occupied by wizards and when us muggles look at it they chant "ignoreamus" and we talk ourselves out of being interested in it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I love pasta too. I'm really not fussy though. I bought pickled walnuts to try and forgot to do anything with them.
I find yorkshires very "meh". Filler/take up space which could be occupied by much nicer stuff.PasturesNew wrote: »No bacon, don't like it.

Really? bacon sarnies are epic! (apols to jewish posters)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Anyone else hearing Nina Simone in her head?
Lovely voice, she's got....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
