tell you what, let's see who's the best at sacking a load of tv executives who have run out of ideas.
Well, yeah, but....ideal for me. In fact, by the end those judges have had a lot of spoons.....with a full team the have had what seven by the end of first round?
That's a fair bit of food , they are big spoons.
 Then the second round.......0

Most mexican food here's what you'd call tex-mex and milder than Mexicans themselves eat. Chewie's probably better informed on this!
I used to go to a good tex mex restauarnt in South Kensington. Just googled it- might be the Texas Lone Star but its donleys years ago. They have/had a dish called onion loaf that's pure delight.
No idea. I can tell you all about the Asian fusion, French and Italian restaurants in the hotel we stayed in in Mexico though... 0 0

Since Saturday I've had fish pie/chips, pukka pie/chips, curry sauce/chips, chips, toast, 2 muffins (twice), scrambled eggs on toast, weetabix/sugar/milk (3x), bag of jelly babies, half a bag of snack size peanut choc bars, half a packet of dry roasted peanuts and a cup a soup. 0 0

Spent the day today interviewing applicants for our graduate programme. We had a few thousand applicants for about 20 jobs. We filtered out most of them over various stages and this was the final assessment centre with 40 people left. I was expecting them all to be pretty effing amazing as a result but it was a real mixed bag, the three that I assessed were very weak indeed and I can't help thinking that our filtering has gone horribly wrong. Was pretty depressing really.0

Maybe it was a wedding. Can't think of another reason for a big gathering. (Unless it was a funeral!)

I've been applying for graduate jobs recently Not got very far as yet. Not finance though! Not got very far as yet. Not finance though!
Weak in what way? Basic skills for the job etc?
I think most people know how to BS their way through the application forms for these things, and know the things to say on a telephone interview. The filtering is probably pretty ineffective for that reason I'd have thought. But then how do you differentiate between thousands of people?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

We always find with graduates that the ones that look great on paper are often not the ones who do best at interview and the interview (assessment day) is definitely much more important.I think....0

On Sunday Brunch last weekend, the chef had been to Texas and cooked a Texan chilli in the studio (no beans). It had chuck steak and scotch bonnet as the starting ingredients. It is cooked for 6 hours, then shredded and served.

Brill! Onion loaf is a bit like onion bajia but as a crunchy loaf. with a lovely sauce to pour over it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

DS1 tells me that they all do online job applications for each other! Particularly public sector ones. Apparently with familiarity you can pass all these things, but it if you haven't got the time to familiarise yourselves with a particular set, you ask a mate!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
