I think I have found it now, big clue was "CALLED-IN IF OFFICER MINDED TO - GRANT " written in red across the top of one of the documents.

Translating the planning blurb, they don't like developments in back gardens - even if the access is OK it gives a lack of privacy to future occupants of the original houses.

Last time they rejected because of impact on neighbours to the North - 'overbearing'. It will be interesting to see if they use the same this time or talk about street scene. Existing property strangely does not overlook its own garden so is not adversely impacted.
    I think....

Before I'd looked at the picture, I'd envisaged a sink with a switchable pipe, so you could choose to decant the water from the sink into the cistern, or not.

You can probably not imagine what women do with bathroom sinks.... but it might, say, include bleaching a bra and knickers white, or dying same/or a T shirt in any colour of the rainbow.

Then there's tooth brushing, armpit shaving, foot washing ......

    All sorts of things.

I use mine to wash beach glass in mild bleach/water .....

And hairwashing is popular in sinks. And hair dye.

I've washed/left crocs in mine .... and rinsed/wiped down my walking shoes after coming in from muddy grass outside.

That'd be a nightmare to use.

Firstly I'd hardly be able to reach - and it'd mean your knees/dress/skirt were dangling over/on the lavatory (which might not be yours).

Then, it also depends what else you'd usually use a sink for.

If it were in a room where there was only a loo, then it's a space saver, but as a general sink in a general shower room it'd be tricky brushing your teeth in that - or the dozen or so other things I use a bathroom sink for.

On some the sink is slightly to the side.

    I guessed that.

    I'm more of a face-on kind of a girl :)

I can see it working as a downstairs loo in a small space (e.g. understairs cupboard). But not in a main bathroom.

I do really like the idea of using 'grey' water for toilet flushing though.

Water use is something we have to consider over here a lot more than in the UK.

During the drought in Brisbane that ended a few years ago, you had to keep the water used to rinse your clothes in your wash to wash the next lot.

No , nothing yesterday in the calendar at all. Rare to have a wedding on a Monday too. Are you sure you got the right religion?

Thanks silver. Maybe it is some sort of other gathering. Black skull caps men and ringlets long sober skirts women. That's orthodox isn't it? Sorry if I come across a bit ignorant, don't know any orthodox Jews irl.

Incidentally, what group contains the women who wear the triangular headscarves? Perhaps that's a Christian group but I don't know which one.

Is it Plymouth Brethren who wear the headscarves?

Um, people across more than one of the 'main' religions might wear headscarves......

Another reason for unity across beliefs that but that in the end just results in stone throwing. :(

Sorry lir, didn't make myself clear. It is a very specific triangular headscarf tied under the hair. Normally the women have long hair. They tend to dress v modestly which is why I thought it might be religious. Plymouth Breatheren would be a good fit I think.

    Sounds apt description. :).

There was IMO offensive posting about some (admittedly awfully sounding) brethren neighbours on the relationships forum recently and it really amazed me that no one said that it was offensive. :(
