Make sure you wear a trilby, glasses with no glass in them, have some idiotic facial hair and mention that you're "alternative" a lot and that your job is to code iPhone apps which serve no actual purpose.

Funny you should say that. There will definitely be loads of them there.
And some bowler hatted ones as well ...

My definition of art is roughly along the lines of .. "could I do it? if I can, it's not art"

Stuff like un-made beds, spreading elephant !!!! on paper and all stuff like that that anybody could do is definitely not art. It's b0ll0x

I don't like Tracey emin's bed either, but its done a good job really. You know who she is. Ever seen her watercolours? Some of them are really amazingly beautiful. Not much of that sort of art is too my taste, but I am hoping for the first year after an eleven year hiatus to get to the summer exhibition this year.

Yep, I feel that well I feel I can plan that. :). :j:j. It was really my one major nod to visual arts in the past. :o.

I am NO artist Nd find art 'other' and totally amazingly awe inspiring as a result.

Personally, I don't think it takes much to qualify something as art.

Good art, great art, magnificent art... those adjectives are earned.

(And, yes, sometimes I do like "easy" art, art that you could do... except you didn't. Because art can be really good even if it's a stick man as long as it speaks to people. )

    I like that distinction. :).

Fwiw, the other thing I'll never be able to do is take a decent photo. My eyes and brain just don't really work that way. :). People who take good photos, which in general don't really inspire me, really impress me because I think they must have very 'clean' vision and thought.

Do you think my body heard my plans? I think so....I was disgustingly sick this afternoon while I was out....(not in public, in a loo!) and my right ankle and knee are still complaining about dancing for a measles ten minutes.

I've tolD them that we are dancing every night for the next month so unless my left leg is to get more disproportionate than it is they better get with the game. :)

LiR, do be careful! A few years ago I decided I wasn't going to put up with being such a wimp, so ran about 20 yards in the caravan field. Just to prove to self could do it... (rolls eyes) I had to crawl back into the caravan, and then had problems even walking in it on the flat - stupidly I did it when I was alone, so still had to get to oven to shove in instant meal and back again to get it out. Body doesn't necessarily listen to mind! :(

Today been to dental hygienist and dentist, could barely walk afterwards, even though (because?) I had been lying down in their chairs. Had real probs getting back to car in their car park. And I was beginning to think I was just a benefit scrounger... Since got home legs are beginning to work a bit better, but they still hurt.

Anyway, the message I want to get over to you is that it's better to not force things, and Listen to Your Body!

Hugs from Liverpool, as always. Take care, give your ankle and knee some love and affection and care! ;):)

    :).

Got to do something maggie. :(. The cr4ppy food plan I'm oni'm piling on weight since Christmas. :(. I suppose the proof is I can digest this stuff better. :(. But that's not that helpful ATM.

The rheumatologist in London actually suggested a schedule like ME/CFS suffered have for exercise /stamina regain. I know its wise.......:o

The thing is my ankle is neurological I think. No one has scanned it but we think it thinks its sprained but itsn't really.....some days its ok and I can hop about. Its always a bit worse after exercise.

I do have energy now.....but if I keep gaining weight I think I'll panic and that will cause more problems. :o

Until this post I thought that the name Mewbie was a play on newbie, as in "please be nice to new posters".

Reminds me somehow of the tallguywrites site. Although that's more science than art. :D
