I hate saying things like that ..... but, if I am thinking of the right photo, I couldn't really work it out last time.
How about: a new photo and just use tinypic to host it this time?0 -

Without that I'd have had to lie here all night listening to it flapping about....

A torch with an LED light (lasts for ages) would've been just as good as a wind-up one....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I loiter around this thread, Mortgage Free Wanabee and occasionally post in queries about employment law, as that's my specialist area of work. Plus, will read Debt Free Wanabee' for clues on how to save money.
Tend to just read 'new posts' and religiously enter the competitions, even though I never win anything. But you're got to be in to win!
Just noticed that I have posted 200 times! Woo hoo!Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Stupid question for the scientists.... feel free to laugh your socks off.
If I have a 10 watt bulb ..... and I place it in front of a mirror, does that increase the light in the room? And, if so, what if there were 10 mirrors?
Do mirrors increase light, as it's reflected back instead of just disappearing?0 -
DKs back to school today. Finally had an evening where they were not bouncing off the walls and fell asleep not too late. Apparently everyone got a tablet for Christmas.
Mine got a tablet each. Cheapies though.
My eldest is 8 and it's amazing the number of his contemporaries that have an iPad and a icomputer and a PS4 & an Xbox One. It's not just one: several of his mates have got $000s worth of electronics. On top of that they get all the games and all the accessories. I wonder if these kids will have any appreciation for money at all when they're older.
A few will probably inherit a lot of money/have trust funds so it's probably not a problem. A lot have simply got parents with a decent income who are indulgent which may be more of a problem long term.0 -

Are you a solicitor? Or barrister? My dearly beloved does employment law full-time....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

They can increase the light reaching you, compared with a room where the mirror's absent, and the walls would just absorb the light. They can't produce more than 10W though. Big mirrors do make more space but a room whose walls were all mirrors would do my head in. It would not be at all pleasant IMHO.:(
I post in the Arms (DT and music threads) and on other boards that posters here know about (and whose posters raerly post on other boards). And not much else. The techie board's useful. I started mainly posting in pets and travel threads and found this thread to be a kind of an honest place. There's other threads where I suspect that many of the posters are all the same person. You ask what happened to FatSam who hasn't posted for months and suddenly there he is.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
