Ok own up?
Which little philistine told DH such things as light up Christmas scene tapestries existed? Guess what he is now looking for for next year?
Sigh. Apparently one just isn't enough.0 -
Ha! Maybe he saw my pics & the competition begins....?
I've had 2-3 days without internet & tv.
Done little. Meals went pretty well. Ate more than my fair share of roasters.
Interestingly I have not eaten stupid amounts this year. To be fair, most people haven't, though we did have 2 guests with varying stages of tonsillitis, & another who was unwell.
Turkey crown & gammon were superb. Roasters, as mentioned excelled (but do every year...).
I have next week off, & most I know are back to work. I aim to walk for an hour every day.
I also need to make arrangements to buy my golf clubs that I asked my parents/brother for.
Finally, I need to decide where to buy a pc tower. Ideally, tower & monitor. Even more ideally for less than £300.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

It's tricky.... you can't pretend it didn't happen. One of them has issues and they're neither the sort of people one wants to associate with, whoever has the issues.
I think they both have issues. one to put up with it being said or to have done it......one to say it or put up with it.......I know she has problems BUT we have made HUGE strides forward in relationship in the last year or so, and she is hugely important to DH, and I love him for that.
Usually when we meet any of his lot The agree ment is I have something yummy like a monitor then I get more interested in the details like wallpaper than who we are with, but I cannot drink tomorrow.0 -

But, as she's gone out for an hour, I've managed to connect my phone to the laptop and import photosand uploaded them
So, with limited time to stand, snap and run .... today I saw the Delorean car

I hope it never dies so you take LOTS MORE photos.
Is your laptop exceptionally noisy?0 -
Thought it would be a good idea to make sure the bar was well and truly stocked before Xmas.
Spent the last 5 days trying almost every drink in there.
I may have accidentally pickled myself.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Did you make any nice cocktails hamish or just swig taste like a teen?
We're after a cinnamon liqueur now I am told.......
I suppose I can sniff it.0 -
LIR - even fianc! did something bad to SIL or SIL did something bad to fianc!. Either way it seems the wounded party has forgiven the other so is there any need to do anything especially since you don't know which way around it was and if you get it the wrong way around it could go horribly wrong? If I was in the situation I would probably speak to the SIL beforehand about it, rather than raise it in any way on the night.0

Chewy,how wise.
I aspire to that sort of view. Yes, yes. This is just right...it's their business. Nothing to do with dh. Haha, egotistical :rotfl::T. I shall tell him we have been unnecessarily self centred when he is back from kitchen. Thank you. This is very good.
I still think its gonna be one hell of an awkward meal but....what's a little awkwardness but the perfect pairing for indigestion.
What it actually means is I will talk non stop and embarras myself to save everyone else.
You seem especially chilled these days may I say? It suits you well.0 -
DH now says he wants to be one of those people wo celebrate Christmas every day.
He wonders if rathe than a Jew for Jesus he can simply be a Jew for Christmas.
He wonders though what would happen on the real Christmas Day, to mak it out.
I said, never mind that, what would happen on Jewish festivals? Or Chinese New Year? The solstices? Our birthdays? Valentines day?0
