So sorry for your loss Bugslet, thinking of you xxxx
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It's possible I suppose, it was about 6.40pm and the rain was extremely heavy, but it's six or seven miles into Central London from here so it might not even have rained there.

I collected Mrs Zag from the local train station and it had certainly been raining in central London!

Very sorry to hear of your loss bugslet. It's very sad, even when it means the suffering is over. I felt guilty for ages about being partly glad my Dad had died.

It's sodding boiling over here. 35C today and no cool change due until Tuesday.

Oh and my tooth snapped off. It's been dead for years due to Tesco very kindly including a free small stone inside a Chelsea bun. This morning I was flossing and it just snapped off. No pain, just a really annoying hole.

None of the above. You need a Peugeot 505 Family Estate. There is no rival! Except a Mazda MX-5, but that does not have quite enough seats.

Someone suggested a Hyundai i10 1.1 diesel, and the Peugeot is better than that.

20k commute + 30k business miles + 10k personal miles (so 15+% of my life) in a supermini is definitely a no.

4x4 is preferable, and definitely another 7 seater, but apart from that, I don't really care. I don't like the BMW X5, Discovery or Volvo XC90, which puts it down to those two in honesty.

Bugs, I'm sorry to hear what's happened. NP hugs, and if you need anything, I'm back on the 3rd.

Oh and I forgot to say, Christmas holidays have started. I excelled myself in the wandering around the office chatting to people rather than doing anything productive stakes today. I did less work than a Civil Service HR manager.

The most productive thing I did was eat homemade ice cream with my boss.

Now no work until 6th Jan. Nothing. Nada. I've got my feet up in front of the NZ v WI (West Indies not Women's Institute) Test match. Egg and chips and a nice glass of white for dinner (no posh alert on dinner I think).

    Life is sweet.

I know the feeling. The older you get the more likely you are to end with a smile resembling a vandalised graveyard.

I'm still fathoming out how to use this Forum, but I like the idea of Nice People. In my world I like things to be sunny and cheerful.

A lovely man that I know always says if you can't feel wood round you when you waken up in a morning (a coffin), you know it's going to be a good day.

    Very true! :D
