What happens when the blinds break? Do you have to replace the windows?
I guess so but they came with some very long guarantee (20 years I think) plus I think blinds usually break as they get caught on something or the cat runs up them but, as these are inside the glass, nothing can touch them and no dust either ....which was the main selling point for me.0 -

yup, always the same.
A zip folder would be lovely.
I'll do you a chopping board with a collage on it for you one day as a surprise.
My Banksy pics became place mats and glass chopping boards from Jessops.
If anyone wants copies, just message me at my usual email. I am in a couple (but in disguise and very small.....to give it some scale) but we seem to have a lamppost issue in the nicest one that my photo shopping skilss don't extend to removing. I can only remove spots and whiten teeth.
The res was just right for Jessops too (about 3MB......3500 x 4000 approx I think..... which is large so the quality will be good)0 -
I think I sent you a link......0

As a house buyer I'd certainly be suspicious of my ability to maintain them - and the costs involved in the longer-term.
OH could do that no problem but because they are enclosed, they shouldn't break ...I tried them out at a show @ Excel and fell in love.......got one in the new bathroom too as we didn't want frosty glass in the back ensuite and a regular blind on the outside will just get dusty/damp.0 -

Like this: http://www.conceptblindsdirect.co.uk/images/catalog/category88.jpg
"This amazing product utilises the depth between the glass surface and the face of the Glazing Bead of UPVC Windows and Doors to create what appears to be part of your window or door and all without any drilling."

DH said if I get harem pants in front of him he goes. ( only half joking I think). I never wanted them before he said that.
So I have a pair of grey almost harem pants that I only wear when he is not here.0 -

I haven't seen these blinds, but it would be difficult to control them if they were inside a sealed double-glazed unit. (You could devise a control mechanism using magnets, maybe, but it would be hard to make it work in practice.)
So, it's probably two separate panes of glass, with a blind in between. So, it should be reasonably easy to dismantle the glazing beads, take out one pane of glass, replace the blind, and reassemble.
Just my 2p-worth.
Edit: Oops. Just as PN said much more succinctly 15 mins ago.
"You'd just pull the internal beading out, drop the pane of glass out, fix the venetians, refit the pane. Oh hang on ...... no.... probably does need more specialism than that. "No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I'm thinking of buying a sort of funny turban style one....looks like more room for hair and less difficult to put on.
Any one any opinion? I never used to bother with a cap.....
These are the ones we got. Like a sandwich.
