Does Asda living take APGs? Anyone ever spent any in Newport Asda Living, wondering if I will run into trouts if I spend my last couple of £10ers in there.

yes they do take them BUT sometimes you have to let them know that they take them:D:D
never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit
  • Lidls are doing carrots and parsnips for 39p from tomorrow and next weekend 2.5kg potatoes £1.09 I think might help with veg for christmas

Nothing like a bit of impromptu staff training. I need to record my voice saying 'You have to tap in the amount as it is over £10' the amount of times I need to explain the beep when scanning an APG.

Hi, not sure if already mentioned, but if you have one of the Charles Tyrwhitt £10 off vouchers, it also works alongside the 20% off when you pay with Paypal. Just got a nice shirt for OH for £10 delivered. They are the only shirts that fit his long arms nicely - think he must have been an ape in a previous life :)
  • Also next weekend at Lidls Chocolate Truffles ( Milk , Dark or White ) 150g 99p "Fin Carre" Chocolate with Hazelnuts 100g 22p

    I must check again.

Well done re: the soda stream. Sounds like a good deal.

I have just contacted paypal re the Reebok issue, and although showing as pending the monies have gone from my account. They can't be added back in till Reebok release the hold they have placed on the amounts involved.

Paypal are contacting them when customers complain and they have told me it will be 72 hours before the monies are available again.

    Xmas Saver!

    Good morning all xx
I've been thinking about doing xmas food shopping on Xmas eve to get some good bargains :D.....as we are a bit short of money this year.....

Do any of you do this ?....if so have you got any good tips for me please....I.e ...not to get everything at the last min or what times the best to go?

I would be looking out for bargains/woopsies from now on. Loads of xmas food can be frozen.
I would pick up some woopsied sausages or get some cheap ones and then pick a nice pooking pack of T's cooking bacon (81p) for pigs in blankets, I am sure you can make and then freeze things like roast potatoes, which saves not only cash but also time on xmas day. I only buy the cooking bacon now and have a rummage pretty much every time I am in Ts. You have to be patiwnt but you can usually find a nice pack with lots of spices and too much mulched stuff. You can also tell the difference between smoked/un smoked by the colour. It means I can do bacon butties whenever without feeling I have spent £2 on bacon. It is also useful to have in a one pack will feed us four with BLT's to make a cheap tea.
Asda for Beef at 4kg is another good buy. a 2kg joint will do 3 meals for us so under 3quid a meal for nice roast beef/rump steak so whilst the best part of a tenner on beef may feel alot, it does spread over many meals and also left overs.

Edit- oooh just saw your post cll! Thanks!
when I got the curry meals that are in a sealed bag, costing about £7
they were on reduced counter for about £4 so I got 3 and the multi buy 3 for 2 at the time still worked. (took off £4)
also b1g1f still works I believe.
