Ovivo No 3G
I have a Huawei G300 with Ovivo but cannot get it to connect to 3G.
The settings seem to be correct because they were downloaded in the last week via a message from Ovivo.
Data is enabled and I have no problem connecting via WiFi. Trouble is no matter where I am outside I cannot connect via 3G.

Seem to be ore are? Have you checked them against the ones on Ovivo website?
Also, if there is no 3g signal, mobile data can go via 2g, although very slowly.
They are. Ovivo ask you for the model of phone and send the settings via text so there is no manual input.
I can get no internet connection when I am outside.0 -
comapre the settings you have here http://settings.ovivomobile.com/choose/Huawei/Ascend%20G300
the other thing is their signal sits on vodafone do you know any body with a voda phone that gets a 3 g signal , to compare the two . I might be worth chatting to the helpdesk0 -
Their signal?
It's Vodafone's network (and signal). Virtual network operators have their own HLR (Hone Location Register) and the network owner has full control, of the connections through this.0 -

Yes I had already followed your link and the settings were automatically downloaded to my phone. They are showing as:
APN : ovivomobile.com
Proxy to MMS port Not Set
MCC:234
MNC:15
Authentication type:PAP
APN type :default0 -
In my phone (Ovivo too) Authentication type is <Not set>. Don't know if this makes any difference.0

Did you enter the APN type manually?
Try either internet or default,supl,dun,fota
Also take note of the Authentication Type, as above.0 -

I am indoors at the moment so I turned off Wifi and changed it to None but it does not make any difference.
All four bars on the icon at the top of the screen are lit up and 3G is showing so the connection is there. In the Mobile Network Settings Data Enabled is ticked.Should anything else be ticked for 3g?0 -
Try downloading the Tweakker app and using that to set up the phone it worked ok on two G300's with no problems at allIt's not just about the money0
