I can't say that I'm usually much in agreement with HPC, but there is a thread running at the moment, with this:

1 million for this pile of !!!!.

    You're having a giraffe.

    It's !!!!!! and cheaply made.

Living in the south of England must be pretty depressing.
  • I thought they lost it when they made a video for YouTube with the crash test dummies song "crash" playing in back ground and had loads of HPC propaganda going on. They were literally getting hard over this video. Over the years though they have become more and more bitter. It's a shame really as some young people may come across the site and be taken in by there misguidness.

If it sells for that, then it's not 'overpriced'. People will also consider rising values over the next few years - a modest 10% growth in house prices over the next couple of years bill earn the buyers nearly £100,000. One to keep an eye on!

The HPC website belongs to a company that sells advertising online now. There are no real posters and all accounts are managed by the same person posting made up garbage during office hours.

It's supposed to shock you into opening more pages and then telling your mates down the pub about it so they read more adverts too.

HPC is long gone, this URL is just a dying printing press someone trying to squeeze a few pence more out of. Doubt it will collect enough to pay for the domain again next time.

Pretty much the same as this forum, then.

Nothing I like better than posting some rubbish under the GD name, and then argue profusely with it under LM. I have such a huge stable of sockpuppets, I need a full time 'lad' to run it. Hamish does a good job. In truth, my real name is re-wired.

If I got that in my 2015 Chrismas stocking I'd be really *issed off

I just get 'connection refused' now.

You can always tell a man who has lost the argument when he resorts to having to banish people with other views from his land.

Google news does a better job anyhow.

It used to be a much more interesting place but is very dull now, as they just delete and ban every user who doesn't post that house prices are falling.

As there are precious few examples of that happening at the moment they have very little to talk about. By refusing to allow debate that forum has pretty much killed itself off, when it used to be massive.

An interesting parallel to this one.

It also has an interesting profile. According to Alexa the site ranking has halved since 2012. Half the visitors are significantly less well educated than the average and the other half are significantly better educated and have masters level educations.

Some of the most common upstream sites are Daily Mail, Rightmove and the BBC.

So it looks like there are a lot of disenfanchised very well educated people, and a lot of disenfranchised poorly educated people - who read things that make them angry that they can't afford a bigger stake in society, who then go onto HPC to vent. And not much in the middle.

The problem is, I think, that the poorly educated people are not getting very good advice from the other half of the sites users, who they probably look up to.
