Yawn, I sense much bitterness here.
Bitterness? What is there to be bitter about? Do you mean amongst the bears? It would be extremely greedy to have expected things to have turned out any better than this (given where we were in 2008-9), with 5 years of low mortgage payments (and still counting) and recovery beyond nominal prices (in London and some other areas).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I'm tempted to register on there and post something like, 4 years of super low interest rates, it's free money!!!!!!!!!!
Do you think I'd last long?
I always remember a work colleague laughing at me, as I said in late 2001 that I was buying another house (work move). He said I was mad, it was bad enough having one house with a price crash around the corner, but someone who already had a house, buying a second one was stark raving mad.
He then told me that he was selling his home (for £250K) and moving in to his inlaws with his wife, to ride out the price collapse.
12 months later, after a miserable time staying at the inlaws, his old house was worth £50K more and he was back in the housing market. Not that I ever mention it to him, oh no, not me.0 -

I know , I know , i should agree with you. It is repetitious and the same points have been applicable for a decade or more now; and yet..and yet.. I still find it hugely entertaining.
I think it must be the ' schadenfreude' of seeing the neverending failure of such an intolerant yet bombastic and dogmatic group.
If they were a little more open to dissenting voices it would be easier to commiserate, after all , we all make the wrong call sometimes, but then ,if they listened to other views they probably wouldn't be where they are now.
Their gift just keeps on giving.0 -

Because you won't get told over there that anyone with any sort of contrary opinion (and in my case not even that) is banned with warning, notice or reason.
You might think their view is a balanced view of the population rather than a small continually "refined" bunch of hopeless nutters.0 -

You wouldn't be allowed to post a new thread, as a new user. You'd be under a period of probation with your posts being monitored by the moderators, before appearing on the site. Yes, they really are that paranoid!0 -

But why do you care? Its not like they own the internet, ignore that forum and then you wont need to worry about whether they allow a contrary opinion or not.0 -
If you buy a house because you want to live in it and enjoy it for the next 20-40 years, the only thing that matters is that you can afford it and are happy to pay the asking price for it.
Once you have bought it, it doesnt matter whether its worth £3 million or £3 really!!0 -
The forum hpc.co.uk is currently in general disarray.
Many of the old guard have been disappeared. The masked tulip and his boss, Bruce Banner struggle to maintain order and now rule with fear.
They came for Realistbear in the middle of the night.0
