Have found a knitting pattern for "rescue" chicken jumpers A*M ... trying to work out if it would be a stash buster or a marriage buster to knit one!

MFW actions:
No MOP or NSD today, more of a long-term MFW action as mortgage facility has today been reduced to £106,000 and interest rate dropped from 4% to 3.90% (although they won't apply this till August 1st). Not as much as I hoped but should make about £10 a month difference on current loan, and of course will be worth more the more of the capital we can pay off, so it's all good.
SMASH day 38 / 100 = £ 1,850 / £ 3,000Grey Clouds:
Literally ... rainy day so have been unable to get all students' bed linen dry! Let's hope tomorrow's a little brighter!Silver linings:
Small gift from students and they insisted on paying for the taxi to the drop off point, which was really sweet of them.
Next pair arrive tomorrow and they have a hard act to follow!Daily Declutter:
One beyond hope bra dumped = 247 / 365, because ....Simple pleasures:
* Bit of a spendy one, but a need not want ... honest!
After dropping the students off I walked back to town and got myself properly measured on the boulder holder front (as in all in front). Have apparently been wearing upholstery which is not only ancient but also one chest measurement and two cups too small!
So, once measured I had a good rummage through the sale in Diddlehams and for less than £60 got 4 bras for everyday and a 5th one with matching drawers for best. Very spendy action for me but soooooo much more comfy. Signed up for store card to get extra 10% off although I have the cash in my £1 tin and left over birthday money, so will pay off at the end of the interest free 56 days. I just hope they wash and wear OK. I hate it when a bra is perfect until you've washed it twice!
* Finally perfecting the hen house routine for first thing in the morning so that I can have them released, fed and settled and I can be back in my bed by 5 am to bag another couple of hours shut-eye!
Hope everyone is OK. Happy hump day tomorrow, looks like being a busy one here so hope yours is more relaxed!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Excellent news on the bra front, if you have a TK Maxx close then they have V V good/normally mad price underwear at reasonable prices, matching pairs become much more likely as affordable. Loving the hen news.0

Habibiboo, I salute you because you must run on duracells to be able to do that each morning!
Would love to see pics of them all so we can put names to faces so to speak.0 -
Well done on your overtheshoulerboulderholders. Bet you look half a stone thinner too.0

Hope the new students excede expectations and are even lovelier that the first pair. And that the early mornings with lairy pair et al, plus late evenings waiting up for european pair, don't wear you out.
Also hope you get paid for them!

Thanks Toots, there is one at the far end of town, I never think to go there, but it's on the way to the only DIY shop round here now and we seem to go there quite often, so note made to stop off and have a peep sometime. Ta for the heads-up!Habibiboo, I salute you because you must run on duracells to be able to do that each morning!

Thanks Ally, there are a few pics a couple of pages back Ally but I'll try to add some more over the weekend! Edna's face is now pinking up, Gladys is starting to perch and Dora is being less flighty and fearful so I think they're starting to feel at home!
Mr Hbbb has taken a turn with the early mornings the last two days as he's been off timetable and not had to go in until later and I've been on my knees with student changeover as well, so I can't take all the credit. Batteries do need recharging sometime pretty soon! :rotfl:Alchemilla wrote: »Well done on your overtheshoulerboulderholders. Bet you look half a stone thinner too.

Hope everyone's Ok, good day, rain managed to hold off until washing dried at least! Yes, this and lairy pair not defeathering fragile ladies constitutes a good day in these here parts!MFW actions:
Nowt to report, not even a NSD because I had to get milk in for students.
Was hoping to make MOP but, see below ...
So SMASH day 40 / 100 = £1,850 / £3,000Grey Clouds:
Student money payment was not made for 2nd week running (you might remember this from last week) so we've had one lot come and go who were fed, washed and laundered for at our own expense for 2 weeks. Exchange of emails with my contact has ensued (same one from last week). She then copied me in on her email rant to finance dept. She's very pro-active and has promised that if money isn't in my account tomorrow she will drive round personally with cash and has said that an extra £25 will be added to payment as an apology!
Oh and client with slow payment system has just mailed to say system sluggish again so not to hold breath for money this week from there!
Sheesh ... I must have a reverse feng shui thing going on somewhere in the house ... rubbish bin in my abundance corner or some such! Anyone know about that stuff? Perhaps it's just me: my magnetic personality extends to dogs, hens and Mr Hbbb (on a good day) and not £ !Silver Lining:
At least the students are great this time too (so far, so good). To tell the truth, late payments are easier to live with than students from hell, so I do still have a lot to be grateful for!. Daily declutter:
Two box files of old papers archived and shredded, box files ready to be up cycled into something. Just not sure what. Yet.
Small parcel of crafty items passed on to a friend who has good use for them, whereas they've been in my stash for yonks without seeing sunlight. Total = 250 /365Simple pleasures:
* Seeing Mr. Hbbb all scrubbed up in his morning suit for popping to year 11 prom this evening. Hmmm.
* Painted toe nails this evening now that bulky boulders are under control and out of the way :rotfl:
* Getting shot of a piece of work that was causing me a headache and taking far longer than it's worth to me.
Hope everyone is good. Thank goodness it's nearly the weekend! Have a great Friday y'all!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!
