Gosh, slightly AWOL for a couple of days there ... so much going on it seems, so a few updates due!MFW actions:
Spendy day today as I had to get keys cut and packed lunch stuff in for students who arrive tomorrow. Had been quite successful with a 3 NSDs in a row Sat to Mon though, so all OK in the scheme of things.
MOP of £100 made at weekend and counting off the days until end of month when uni money should finally hit the account and I can have a little money shuffle and organise drop down on our mortgage facility to access lower interest rate for July! :T
SMASH day 24 / 100 = total £350 / £3,000Grey cloud:
Conference headache ... Even though I drank 4 bottles of water and one bottle of pear juice whilst there!Silver lining:
Day off from cerebral stuff tomorrow, just going to concentrate on house and students arriving.Daily declutter:
Have made huge progress here since last update.
* 2 things gone on Freecycle, one more to be picked up tomorrow.
* Charity bag of 10 items collected by charity bag collection today.
Mum is doing a boot sale at the weekend so I am offloading everything I was going to Fleabay onto her as she loves doing boot sales and I hate them & she's always after extra bits. She's going to cut me in on the profits too! Not sure what number to put on this as it's at least 60 items (lots of books etc that A*zon trade in didn't want) ... So with all items above will add 25 to total of items out = 216 / 365.Simple pleasures:
* Getting to the end of a project.
* Baby sparrow has successfully fledged.
* Getting a room looking nice and welcoming for guests (although this time tomorrow it will be full of teenage boys and their socks, trainers etc ) ... just like old times!
* 4 more sleeps till rescue hens arrive!
Hope everyone is OK and has had some of this fabulous sunshine. Still have student prep to do tonight but will try to catch up with threads towards the weekend, see what mischief and MFW magic you've all been up to! x

Ooh I love a good carboot sale - we need to do one too soon as our pile is going out of hand!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Nice to have you back, Hbbb.
.
Hope the students don't eat you out of house and home...
Well done on the NSD, decluttering and generally off-loading your stuff!
How is the ergonomic chair going? I can imagine you pushing off one desk and scooting across the floor to another!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

It's a good thing to do whilst the sun shines SF ... I think I've just been put off by doing so many in the wrong location and in the wrong weather conditions! I also don't like the way people pounce and start going through your boot whilst you're still unloading!
Good luck if you do one soon xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Thanks A*M, all seems quiet at the moment ... they refused second helpings, so not sure if that's a good sign of full tummies or bad sign of hating the food
Ergonomic chair and I are getting on famously, I love that I don't have to pull it out then pull it back in to the desk, I can just approach it from behind and roll into place! :rotfl: I try not to scoot too much as this gives muppet pooch the thunder-terrors!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Thanks A*M ... all signs positive at the moment, but will clearly need steering towards showering regularly if you know what I mean!
Mr Hbbb feels it's like coming home to year 10!
Hope you're Ok xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

And so to today ...MFW actions:
Students arrived ... a few necessary spends as had to get taxi for pick up point with them as Mr. Hbbb had car at work etc. I walked up there but got taxi to pick us up to come back as the lads had cases and bags etc. Altho Mr. Hbbb wasn't too happy with that as an MSE action as I took short cut through creepy woods to get there on time.
Have worked out the budget with a little fine tuning to spare so on track for making SMASH inroads once the money filters through!
As I was on a spend day, I ordered coal and logs for winter before prices go up next month, also got some bargain extras for free (peat blocks etc), with the wood we've got this should mean we'll have enough for 2 winters! We always buy in 2 yearly as it works out so much cheaper!
SMASH day 25 / 100 = £ 350 / £ 3,000. (Can't believe I'm a quarter of the way through but progress isn't looking too healthy! Still have high hopes of all projects in hand, especially uni cash, although ....Grey Clouds:
* Uni sent me p45 for end of project today but still no payment yet and I still have to submit my hours for June! Yet another email sent!
* Got called down to GPs for more bloods.
* Have a streaming cold, my own fault for sitting in a hot bed of germs conference room for a whole day!Silver linings:
Students seem fine, they like the dogs and don't mind that we don't have a TV, so all good. Their activities start tomorrow so once I've walked them to school in the morning we won't be seeing them much except to feed them!Daily Declutter:
Half my fabric stash given to a lady on freecycle who's going to be making rag rugs, so all good there. Am counting as 5 for the larger pieces of material in it although in reality she had one of those large wheely bag shopping baskets and we filled it with fabric! Total = 221 / 365.Simple pleasures:
* Not having to be at my computer much today ... will be holding on to this feeling in pursuit of a better work / life balance!
* Strawberries from the garden in abundance!
* I am finally going to finish another herring tonight whilst I chat to these lads! :T
Hope everyone is Ok ... the hump of the week is over and done with! Lads will be out at their group's getting-to-know-you party tomorrow eve so will catch up with threads then. x

Finishing a herring, scooting around on a wheelie ergonomic thingy AND talking to them! Multitasking wonderment in the apple muncher household. Wonder what the boys make of it all...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
