Many thanks Watty, Tilly, GoldieGirl, Slowly Fading and Secret Saving Squirrell, resting has made a big difference (I know I should follow Dr's orders and do it properly more often as a preventative thing, not when I'm too sick not to do it).
Ta for your kind thoughts about my little sparrows too, the world of birds is full of violence, it's quite unnerving to see it with its full, raw force of nature.
