Ebid are being very stupid ATm they have perfect opportunities to advertise. The fact that paypal will except SNAD disputes off ebay would be a way of attracting buyers to show that they are protected. But as normal ebid miss these golden opportunities to get some market share0 -

That's great for you. If I was a full-time seller I would probably consider going back to Ebay, or probably a pro-Amazon account in preference. However as a part-timer with a 'normal' job, Ebid is fine: the sales are regular (for me) though not frequent, take no effort or upkeep and cost me nothing for listing and very little in FVF. Each to her own.0 -
I have had enough of Ebay and their fees and over fussy rules. I listed a few items on Ebid years ago with very little success and last week i got an e-mail telling me a football shirt i had listed until sold had actually sold, i had forgotten all about it. Anyway the buyer has still not paid or contacted me so hopes are not high. But i am thinking of trying again. Apparently the platinum seller account for £1.99 for seven days enables people to list as many items as they want as run until sold. So unless i have got it wrong i can pay £1.99 then list thousands of items and cancel my subscription and my listings will stay on the site until someone eventually buys them. I am/was selling fridge magnets, i can put any square picture in a magnet. Album covers are very popular, but it involves listing thousands to sell about 5%. And whereas feebay make it easy with turbo lister ebid is a nightmare. The bulk uploader wound me up so much i deleted it and stuck with feebay. But they have gone too far now and i won't use them again.
Incase you are wondering why i don't just list one item saying something like any photo on a magnet or any album cover on a magnet, i tried that but people don't have the imagination to send me a photo, they want everything done for them.0 -

We did have a keyring and fridge magnet person post on here before, reckoned ebid was better than ebay . Trouble is in that instance all his images were just stolen and i will not support that. I also do not believe that ebid would want to get the reputation that you can sell on there and ignore all relevant UK laws.
There was someone else I noticed on ebid who used to do cross stitch patterns of Disney and other cartoon characters and I always wondered why ebid did not pull them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I would be happy to pay copyright holders a commission if they were willing to help me promote the items, but we are only talking about 30p profit per item. I had a paragraph about copyright on my Ebay listings stating that if anyone believed they owned the rights to any of my images all they had to do was send me proof and i would be happy to remove the item or do a deal. Nobody ever did.0 -

I spent hours listing items on Ebid with absolutely no luck at all. I put them on Ebay and they all sold within five days. There is a desperate need for a serious rival to Ebay as they have a virtual monopoly and they abuse it. But Ebid have been around a good few years now and i think if they were going to be a rival they would have achieved it by now. There was talk of Google starting an auction site but i don't know if there was any truth in it.0 -
As someone who has had a retail business, I have no trouble with ebay fees. A maximum of 13% overhead is paltry compared to premises costs. And most of the buyers are good folk. The only thing I miss is the opportunity to tell the grizzly ones where to go.0
