i have joined ebid and have bought one thing... i have been thinking of joining as a seller, as they way ebay is at mo.. i think its best if i start moving my eggs to other baskets so to speak, as up until now i havent had many problems, but now i have had 2 listings pulled and because my star average for psotage is now 4.3 average over 30 days...( even htough on the main thing its 4.7) my listings are lowered or something
anyway.... i have read that there has been problems with ebid, have they been sorted now, and is it worth paying the £49.99 and are sales/traffic picking up with ebid..
it is also a bid confusing... with the listing structure... so any tips would be really usefull, thanks....
i have also joined cqout but havent looked into that one porperly.. eitherWork to live= not live to work0 -
Hi CTC, I can highly recommend the £49.99 lifetime membership as there's so much you can do with your 'space' on there once it's all set up and running. The biggest problem with it is that my longterm plan to build up a stock and set up my stores properly has become a very, very longterm project because it incurs no fees to keep the stores, so there's nothing to remind me to get off my b*m and list. It's so easy to make up your own web page and then just have all the links go straight to your eBid store rather than have to pay for commercial hosting and a secure server. There's also the added benefits of being able to use various payment methods with integrated invoicing plus all sorts of new improvements that I haven't even tried out yet.
If you decide to go for the lifetime option, think of it as your personal store - it needs promoted as though you had the site as your very own.
Hot tips - set up a really good 'about me' page, make sure you have your address verified, and keep your store 'plugged' in the relevant forum thread. That's where I check first for the best bargains
I buy more than I sell, but I DO plan on changing this soon, I really do.....I reserve the right not to spend.

Would anybody know from where I could get a Perspex stand where I can put my books when I take pictures of them?
I also need to get off my bottom to get my books in eBid so every little help is needed.
Thanks!!!"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

The Uk ebid site has sustained over 1 million listings for a few weeks now, not bad for the hight of summer holiday season.
ebid recently intruduced a new invoicing system which gives the USA ebidders more shippung options, and allows all sellers to offer % and cash discounts on multiples sales. Unfortunatly it had quite a lot of glytches in the week it was launched, but ebid announced some upgrades last night so fingers crossed it's fixed now!
There is no such word as "bidded". I bid, you bid, they bid, Ebid0 -

Brilliant advice - and so true0 -
I've just taken the plunge and upgraded to Seller+ Lifetime
I have around a 100 items listed at the moment and have opened my first store - it was quite simple :j
I should have more items to add in September - when I get back into trading after the School holidays - have all my Amazon and Greenmet stuff on holiday settings at the moment.
Actually, I have basically taken a month off for the school hols which I think is good for my sanity (and my husbands!), although after 2 weeks I am already starting to miss my SDN - email fix! :eek:AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
I know I've been threatening forever, but I've been and gone and done it! I joined Ebid!
Let the sales roll in!0
