  • I've been a piggy too. Must be something in the air. DD has hidden the chocolate biscuits - I've found them but I'm not going to raid them - she has definitely got a point. I am Mrs Blobby !

  • Good grief.

If only I could explain my horrific weekend this far. Started potty training. Not a single thing done actually in the potty in 36 hours now. Add to that him turning up post work yesterday as he felt too poorly to go home. Cue him & jelly embarking on a vomiting bug the likes of which we have not yet seen. New carpet and pillow required for jelly. New mop. New rubber gloves. I've gone through 2x 90 packs of anti bac wipes and a bottle of dettol. Three loads of washing done at ridiculous temps and due to both need to dry washing fast and jelly being half naked permanently.

In the time it has taken me to write this post on my phone she has opened the washing machine drawer and eaten oxy action crystals. FML as they say.

Back later when I've drugged her and him has gone to work/home! What a start to a holiday! And now jelly off nursery the second week in a row!

  • Flaming NORAH Litly, what's been going on there, you poor thing. Your poor holiday.

I've been trying to catch up with you, but keep missing you :rotfl:

It feels like its all been happening there and I know what it's like when a littley is poorly, everything else stops. Did the outlaws delay their visit, probably just as well. Hope HE appreciates all your sick mopping duties. You are such a good mommy and caring person.

Look forward to catching up when all better. I am off for a few days with work, but hoping to catch up while I'm away.

    Take care xx

  • The outlaws came on Friday and have delayed this week until Friday again as Him has a birthday on Thursday and will be here enjoying the 3 days of me being on holiday. If jelly is still wizzing on every surface and going through endless tantrums about sitting on the potty then they are banned and Him can go home to see them. There is no way they are arriving into this abyss of washing, drying, scrubbing and wet patches.

Jelly is currently sat making play doh. Him is at work then home for the next few days so it's just me and jelly. And no bedsheets for her bed. They are refusing to dry. Ones gone on strike in the washing machine.

What else can I tell you? Oh yes I discovered creeping black mould covering Ellie's chest of drawers this morning. And she has just pooed on the floor a foot from her potty. Then when put on the potty to continue this.. She gets upset at the mess in the potty. And not at all the mess on the floor. No matter what I do she is not "getting" this. And I could cry.

    What a rubbish day!

Lilty, poor you and poor little one. I think that potty training must be stressful enough without all that had gone before. I understand that little girls are often pretty quick on the uptake of anything new, so I do hope that Jelly will be too.

I know from your posts that the budget is tight, but had you considered one of those heated airer things (Lakeland do them and others probably), they get a lot of love on various diaries for being pretty economical and doing the job well, particularly with a sheet or bath towel draped over to keep the heat in, also keep the room warmer too.
