Those cards are just precious! Well done Jelly & Mummy! (I may 'borrow' the snowman idea for Beavers if you wouldn't mind??).
Hope Jelly is ok now? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Lucky - borrow away! Ever decreasing circles, best Snowman I ever made by far :rotfl: - inspired by my daddy who always used to teach me how to draw a pig in the same way (from the front)
apple see what you have inspired here?my 'snow globes' are on for today and then that is it. *sits dumbfounded* - Christmas done?! Goodness. I still have to wrap but I got a super surprise today and now I don't have to
lol.
Him arrived out of the blue this morning before nursery. We walked Jelly down, then came back via Costa (hot chocolate and hazelnut syrup mmmmm) and Debenhams for a fried breakfast. I haven't been out for breakfast in over 4 years... genuinely. It was lovely and better yet I didn't pay. So he has promised to help with the wrapping. Maybe he has Jellys bug?
She seemed much better this morning. One very horrifyingly smelly nappy and a shower later she was all ready for nursery. her hair was matted where she was sweating so profusely in the night but the calpol/calprofen did the trick and I didn't hear a peep out of her after her pyjama switch. A good nights sleep had by both of us, and she didn't get me up until 8am bless her!
So what is on today? Card making this afternoon, picking up the little one and doing some drawing to complete said cards and yesterdays dried snowman. And then a dinner... yet to be decided as forgot the chickenchorizo pasta magic maybe.
The wind is howling a gale outside in the glorious sunshine. My bedroom window is open a smidge and the floor is covered in helicopters from the trees outside. The windows were battered repeatedly by them earlier but they appear to be all seeded out now.
Right.. cards and christmas songs awaitxx

I don't think I can quite put my mood into words right now. I went out, leaving Jelly with my iPhone, and Him who arrived unannounced this morning for a nice breakfast etc.
I returned from the trip to buy her a couple of new long sleeved tops, to find her casually walking out of my bedroom, tipping her juice from her cup onto my phone. The water is inside the screen, the screen is blurred, the speakers are ruined. I could cry. It is a £600 phone. I am incredibly lucky that my work funded it, but that was a bonus that will not be repeated. It is the only way that my mum can communicate with video. She can't skype me, it never works properly on her iPad.
I have put it in rice, in an airtight container. I am now just sitting here quietly fuming. I am mad at myself for leaving her with my phone, mad at Him for sitting gaming and not even checking what she has been doing in the half an hour I was out. I am mad at Jelly for doing something she KNOWS she shouldn't be doing. I didn't even realise so I just casually took my phone off, gave it a cursory glance and thought nah its fine. Only later do I see the screen swimming and the speakers not working.
Feel like crying. It is sat switched on, brightness on full, autolock set to never, plugged in, in a bath of rice now, thanks to some updated information. Wish me luck.x

Am so sorry to hear about your phone. Have to say that all my kids have expensive ones but mine is just bog standard but I would still be gutted. Is it not cover by any insurance through either work, your home insurance or the phone shop. Again, all mine have dropped them in the past, I create, and get the 'mother don't worry I will take it back to the shop it is covered'. If all else fails would a hairdryer help? Have a great time with your folks - do I dare ask if Him kept his promise and wrapped pressies?!!! Xxx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Hope the phone dries out. Amazing what a bag of rice and an airing cupboard can do! Mine recovered in that way from a 'swim' in a glass of pop courtesy of DS2 a few years ago. Fingers crossed.
Supersaver, I'm reading on my phone (not rubbing it in Lilt, honest) and I thought you'd used a naughty word :rotfl:. When I zoomed in a little I could see it said 'of luck'
.

Fingers crossed for gloopy rice and a dri-as-bone phone
And you know to keep trying right? It seems that slow and steady wins the resuscitation rate, rather than trying to get it dry fast.
Really, really hope it works for you and you get your phone 'back'
