  • Bleaching spiders happens when you have been squirting cillit bang bleach down the loo, lift a bottle of shampoo from the windowsill to put it back in the right place, and see not one but 2 massive spiders living in a cocoony web. So you panic, point and fire... until you cannot see spiders for foamy bleach. And when you come back an hour later, you've got bleached spiders... :rotfl:

I read that if you are to take a spider outside you need to take it at least 50 yards from your house if you do not want it to return almost immediately! There is one living in the corner of my bedroom window and we have a tacit agreement. It stays in the window and I don't throw it out of it to the ground from the second floor...

I am not so sure normal service is resumed. I have ironed... I may be unwell.

Speaking of unwell, Jelly, after waking at 9 and repeatedly returning to her bed to lie down under the covers and a cushion over her face playing cbeebies on my phone, fell asleep for over 2 hours this afternoon. And then went to bed at normal time, 6pm. This is not my wild child. I couldn't take her out in the last vestiges of warm weather before we permanently freeze our fingers off :( And now I have a sore throat and the sneezes.

Heating is on, low, just to warm through the ironing I have just done which wasn't even properly dry after 2 days on the airer with my bedroom windows open 24 hours a day :(

Started mentally packing for Nottingham. Expecting Jelly to vomit profusely just as we pull into home on the train as usual, so going to the docs for a prescription for an anti-sickness drug for her to see if it helps. Poor love.

Right off to catch up on diaries xx

  • Giggly AND emotional? There must be wine involved surely? ;)

If you have indeed cracked up then welcome to the club, you're only about 3 years late! I kept your rocking chair warm. It is in the corner... :D

I did just have a giggle at my talking to up there. It worked though. I've even washed my cheese on toast pots :D

  • No wine. Just work, DH being away, kids being kids and lack of sleep. I judge myself for not cracking sooner!!

  • Lack of sleep is the killer... everything else can be tackled if you have just had enough sleep... I know you are hard wired to pay attention to DH, kids etc and you can't stop being you for one or 2 nights, but please try to relax a little tonight and sleep :) am very sure DH is perfectly happy and fine.

Drug the kids ;) calpol is your friend! :D:D:D

  • Lilty - take care too, you sound like you are having a hectic time. When you come back from Nottingham, my house will be spotless. I will be giving myself a good talking to. And I may have a new job!!!

Have a good time, hope you and jelly make it up there without using the sick bags - remember to take up ones without holes in the bottom. Xxx

  • SuperSaverDavina I actually do not think I can contain my excitement for your interview! I won't really have an internet connection and don't want to use mumsies laptop or ipad as I will be stalked forevermore... ;) so will try and hook up my pain in the bum phone to her interwebs so I can peek at you ;) I will have everything crossed don't you worry! :D

NOA how did your talking to go? Once I had written it down for all to see I felt suitably embarrassed at my utter lack of action and the state of the house to do something about it.

I can add the following to my tally of things 'done'

    - 3 loads of washing. I can finally see the bottom of the basket and jelly has vests again! They were lurking.. I have also dried this!! :j although partially on my airer and finished off on the radiators.
    - Scrubbed the bathroom to within an inch of its life, and given the tiles/grout and window/ceiling 3 lots of the mould treatment. The grout is an eery glow in the dark white now and it is satisfying!
    - 2 Christmas cards made... So proud of myself (Jellytot) :D See here & here - Jellys super artwork is inside!
    - Kitchen still sparkling.
    - Cooked an epic chickpea, lentil & smidge of minced beef bolognese which became chilli after making some pots up for Jelly - so yum with mini baked potatoes and a touch of cheese and creme fraiche. Didn't fancy shepherds pie ;)

All of the Christmas presents are sitting waiting to be wrapped tomorrow once the child is ensconced in nursery for a decent amount of time.
I have broken my new (a year ago) curtain rail and can no longer pull the curtains shut, which is blimmin cold! Daddy to the rescue next week
Jelly appears to be running a fever and is on her second set of pyjamas for the night, having soaked the others through. Hope it breaks overnight with calpol and ibuprofen. She seems to have a funny tum. Maybe something sneaked in at snack time although nursery would have told me...

Got lots more gibberish to write but I should go... :)

    Night folks xx

  • Stalk away Liltbuster General :rotfl:

But guess what? I have not one but two interviews. Watch this blummin space :-)

Love the cards! I hope little un is okay? Sometimes munching of things goes on (like play doh) but tbh there are so many bugs around at the moment, poor little might.

    Take care

Love the cards Lilt! Go you girls and your creativity!

Have a fun day wrapping presents, and continuing the countdown to travelling.

Hope Jelly gets better soon. Thank heavens for the calpol/ibuprofen combo! 80% of your immune system is in your gut, so maybe it is something she ate? Or simply a rotten set of bugs have invaded. xx
