Hi Lilty and all, just been catching up as have had a few days away - went up to Scotland as sister-in-law lost her husband and then down to The Lakes, which is where my dad is from, and although it may sound morbid I wanted to find my grandmothers grave and take a nostalgic walk around. Stayed in an amazing hotel in Keswick called Inn on the Square, highly recommend, and were blessed with warm weather. Came home to celebrate our WA with family around us, so it has been lovely.

Lilty your Angel is looking over you all the time. Jelly can never be a devil child. So pleased everything is sorted with your past and you can certainly move on as and when you wish now that black cloud has lifted. For someone so young, you have such an amazing way with words.

Have you been off for most of the school summer holidays?

Well ought to go and prepare veggies for lunch, just wanted you to know I am still around and watching out for you! Billie xx

Hi Lilty, just been catching up and huge congrats on getting your freedom:j:j:j:j:j and all the amazing improvements you've seen in your health by tackling that (scary as far as I'm concerned LOL!) diet and exercise regime!!

Somewhere, somehow I need to find my "I've started so I'll finish" button.

  • Hi catching up amazing news about finally being free! Enjoy yourself and the bits you got jelly sound lovely. Better to buy something that will last than spend more on lots of bits that will have to be replaced. x

  • Hello there

I've found your diary and over the last few days I've red from start to finish. I've found it a really good read!
Jelly looks totally adorable in the pictures you post and I love that little cowgirl outfit. I have a little boy who is nearly 2 who also gets called Jelly (shortened from Jelly Tot) however it has nothing to do with his name.

I have now subscribed and will keep checking back, hope thats ok.
  • Hello there boys and girls...

Whew it has been a long time.

I don't even know what to say. I feel completely disconnected from this little world inside here and am actually scared to look at how much I have to catch up with. Reality of it is I just have zero time any more. I am on here to write up a new weeks meal plan and the link in my favourites just caught my eye when I was looking for a calculator.

    Whats new?

Bed still in one piece despite madam drawing all over it in pen. It eventually came off but she actually dug the pen in in places and that remains for the sharp of sight to see.

Weight - fluctuating. I am struggling to keep my head in the game and it shows. Hence my meal plan for the week ahead.

I've joined the gym! I go swimming with Jellytot on Saturdays and Sundays and I go to the gym on a Monday and Tuesday morning once I have dropped her at nursery. I do weights, but mainly legs, and cardio... lots of cardio.

Health - in general much much better. I've realised after my slide back to carb-land that so much of my health recovery is to do with not eating the sugar and carbs. Now I really need to get a grip and get back to it as my back has been quite bad especially because of the swimming.

Other related news... I finally feel healthy enough (especially after conquering the gym) to plan things for my future. The next future thing, and by far the biggest thing I have attempted in a VERY LONG TIME is the London West Tough Mudder on the 1st May. I am volunteering on the 30th April to get a feel for it then attempting the 12 mile long obstacle laden course. There are such things as 10,000 volt electric shock 'therapy' obstacles. Monkey bars. 'The mud mile'. A plunge into an ice bath which you then have to submerge yourself in, in order to climb through an underwater obstacle to get to the other side. There is the leap of faith, swinging out into the ether to try and hit a bell hanging in the air and then falling into a muddy watercourse which you have to swim through... Need I go on? I've never been one to do things by halves. I am training, and I will finish this course. The final obstacle is a huge uphill run up a halfpipe to get to the finish line. I'm so excited!!!

Work.... Several thing have happened. A really nice colleague left for pastures new and closer to home as the commute was killing her. The nastiest colleague I have who has made my life a misery for most of my 6 years (she started 5 months after me) there was deeply unseated by this. Boss called me in to tell me before the word went out that she was leaving too!! She hadn't really progressed much in the last 2 years - hadn't attempted more exams, didn't want to be the paraplanner she was halfway training to be. She wanted, apparently, to have a managerial position. In a company of 14 people with 2 very hands on Directors who micro-manage us all. So that was never going to fly. She's off to a horrible workplace and I wish her the very best. I feel awesome knowing that she is finally going to leave me in peace!

Next up, my own personal development. I have been seconded to I.T for the next several months. I will be developing the new bespoke software with an outside company, as well as implementing new technology on the 4th November which will go hand in hand with the new. It is a sea-change for the company and a lot of faith is being put into me to help move this and project manage it to the point that it gets rolled out. It's my baby for the foreseeable. BUT after THAT!!! I am getting some exams, and will hopefully be becoming a paraplanner in the next couple of years.

So yeah.. Thats about it from me. I'm sitting on the sofa with a pile of packs of various meats. I better get shifting and menu plan. Sage and onion meatballs for a start ;) Steak for breakfast. Half a roast chicken to fit in.. :) doesn't sound that bad does it, this diet?

Sending you all the muchiest of love. xxxx

Much love to you and Jelly.. Thanks for popping by xxxx

I've signed up for the Tough Mudder in Scotland so you'll have to let us know how you get on with it.

Work sounds positive with losing the nasty person, the secondment sounds exciting and a little scary but am sure you'll fly with it.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
