  • Whoop! Whoop to getting things resolved. It was so worth foregoing the £3k just to lose the ties. As for madam, I'm sure she was the belle of the ball so to speak. So cute

INOD - I think it was a complete bargain! I definitely got away lightly in reality :D

Jelly was indeed the belle of the ball, since 99% of the kids didn't bother to dress up! She ruined the outfit stomping in puddles but hey we are only here once and I would rather have the memories of her in it once living it up to having her wear it every weekday like the actually Princess Belle outfit she has at home which just kinda looks normal these days :D

belleandthebudget I'm not going to lie, it is a super strict diet. Cheating isn't just a 'Oh its one piece of chocolate, it won't matter thing...' - it takes 3 days after that of being perfect to even get back into fat burning again, you feel exhausted, get a headache... Carbs make me really ill now. You have to decide to throw yourself at it wholeheartedly for 3 months, and it takes over your life. But after those 3 months are done and you realise the difference in yourself... it is addictive.

Peaty LOL at the proud face. I do feel a bit smug each time I remember it, I am pretty sure my face probably looks just like that. It is exceptionally nice knowing that someone who doesn't like me very much and blames me for all of the things in his life can no longer ruin my credit history just by missing one mortgage payment. Nor am I ever going to be called upon to pay for the house if he goes bankrupt! Not to mention all of the other crazy legal bits that even a joint bank account can tie you in to. It really does feel like freedom!

Today I feel very sleepy and so I have turned my laptop on to get a meal plan going, shop online, and kick myself back into touch. Like I said, cheat and you feel awful and I cheated a lot last week on holiday. Time to feel better again :D I put off being properly back on the diet until I wasn't at work, so I can get rid of the 'keto flu' headache etc before I am back at work.

    Today is the day ;)

Have a good one all. I miss catching up with everybody. Your lives have all shot past me in dozens of diary posts! xxx

  • Such a cute picture, so pleased for you to be mortgage free, I feel very lucky that my ex remained civil
    Jan 2010 - Overdraft £9,500 / Credit Cards £5,000 / Loan £9,500 / Mortgage £128,000
    Jun 2010 - Overdraft £0 / Credit Card £0 / Loan £0 / Mortgage £125,250
    Oct 2011 - Overdraft £7,000  / Mortgage £115,295
    Dec 2014 - Overdrafts 15,000 / Credit Cards 16,000 / Loans 25,000 / Cars 18,000 / Mortgages 232,500
  • Laura you are lucky indeed. I stayed civil and I wish him no harm. I stayed on the mortgage for 7 years after we split but his warped little mind blames me for some weird stuff... I leave him to it.

I can't sleep. Jelly has been a nightmare child today. Shark week is kicking my behind, and today (22nd) was the due date for my angel baby. It's been a really horrible day.

I spent again. £10 club card points on 2 single duvet sets... and £500 on a mid sleeper bed and mattress *keels over* - the current bed can take no more of the drubbing Jelly has been giving it and her changing table is near ready to collapse. This bed is solid wood, has a mini wardrobe, 2 sets of shelves, 4 drawers and a pull out desk under it. It's going to last her for a long time and I can finally buy the right size bedding and waterproof mattress covers etc to keep her mattress safe like this cotbed size one can't be. The money is coming from a fund I set up in YNAB for it so it is fully funded already. I got £30 cashback too. Not worrying about it, it was either this bed or a bed & wardrobe & bookcase. Either was just as expensive but the latter was far less superior quality.

A anyway I should have been asleep hours ago... Night guys xx

sounds like a good purchase Lilt, just divided the cost by the number of years you will get out of it.... makes in more manageable...

Well done for having a fund in YNAB how MSE of you haha...

Sorry to hear you cant sleep and Miss Jelly has been a pickle, also sorry to hear that this day holds some significant memory for you, something tells me today will be a good day just you wait...

I'm awake and want to be asleep, saving grace its Sunday tomorrow and apart from cooking the chicken I have no plans so hopefully I will manage that without too much issue...

Looking forward to hear what today brings...

Muchas Lovas for you from me :-)
