Morning lilt et al! Well my dinner set contains mostly white plates but of all different sizes and designs because I am the clumsiest person I know. I am always breaking them
We have a little rspca charity shop that sells lots of china I always pop in there and grab an extra plate or two if I break one
I also have a few white ones with black flowers on too from an old set. I really am not fussy, as you can tell :rotfl:

btw.. i saw this today and thought of you! (NOT because you remind me of a rhino.. but just the.. diet/unicorn thing anyway!):heart2:
OH MY GOSH!! So Him was looking for unicorn related gifts for me and told me on our walk home from the meal about how he had come across so many things saying a Unicorn was just a pretty Rhino and Rhino's were the equivalent these days, sorry to disappoint etc etc... AND THERE IT IS!!! I think it is lovely. And I have a soft spot for Rhino's and all their extra wrinkles. Same with Shar-pei's although I disagree with the practice of moulding a dog with genetic defects for human pleasure. But they do look cute. :rotfl:
Thank you!! xxxBirthday money isn't for putting into a pension for Jelly, Miss Lilty :rotfl:
Your gifts sound fab and a lovely dinner out too - glad you managed to have a nice time after Saturday's shannanigans
I'm a white dinner service person now...after being left with odd bits from 3 different patterned ones over the years, with white, if something gets broken, really easy to replace or add to. I've got the W!lko cheap dinner service too - perfect for everyday use here
I am PMSL - I spent my birthday money on..... *drumroll* Next months nursery fees :rotfl:I can't eat off a plate that has flower pattern! I sound like my son now.. but honestly, yuck.
MY PLATES ARE WHITE!! ALL WHITE!! OK You bunch of adorable weirdo's?!
Going back to read more as hit the quote button for Levi and it sprung me here!!
NOA Thank you so much for the lovely flowers. The are picture perfect! xxx

Alright. I have finished crying with laughter at all the plate stories!!
I've got 2 Sainsbobs sets of white, one new from momma, and one old that only has 3 plates because I threw my plate on the floor in a temper once and broke it. It also has 3 bowls for a similar *cough* wall *cough* reason:o:o and they ming. Also the plates aren't flat so when you stack them it is like a little set of waves. Know what I mean? And there are the odd black dot in them.
I was going to throw them away but similar to Ruth (I wee'd a little reading that! :rotfl:) I sometimes need more than 4 plates for one adult... over the space of several days of washing up.:o:o that hasn't happened for a while though...
I used to have similar to dfw about 3 sets including some old brown.. yes BROWN flowered plates. Where are the brown flowers hmm? Tell me? and some from *drumroll* Wilko's with rainbow spots around the edges but again they minged and were a bit of a grey colour and the spots were wonky where they lined up and they too were wavy.. So they went!! When the new set came in. I actually used them for dinner and then threw them away dirty. I think that leaves me in a club of very disgusting people. I did the same with my old roasting pan last Christmas...:o
So.. sorry for lack of posts yesterday although you all more than made up for the lack of MOI!!:D:D
I realised at 1am that I had booked a dental hygiene appointment at 8:50am. The problem being that I had to drop Jelly no earlier than 9am at nursery. :wall: lord knows what I was thinking on that day, seriously!!
SO I panic slept, woke exceptionally early, got myself and Jelly through everything and ready before 8am when we normally struggle to be ready for 8:45and then decided to ring the dentist to see if there was a slim chance of letting me be late (they wanted me there 5 minutes earlier than my appt!) and they let me push it back to 9:05!! So.. off to nursery early, waited in the playground 10 minutes while Jelly played with her friends on the see-saw etc, and then manhandled her through bang on 9 when the doors opened, threw her at Janet and launched myself back out of the door with 'Had the dentist 10 minutes ago, gotta go, she's fine!!' :rotfl:
Had a fab dental hygiene appointment. Really got on well with the dentist and her nurse, and the nurse had some allergy issues but feels much better after seeing how I am falling apart :rotfl: It was one of those appointments where the dentists stops regularly to allow you to SPEAK to carry on the conversation :rotfl: - left there, walked to the Dr's. Weighed in.
THREE POUNDS of lard gone!! - the joy of this diet is that there is no immediate huge loss of water weight or anything like on other diets so you just lose fat. Apparently from around my heart/lungs/liver/kidneys first and then the actual fat bits.. like my stomach and legsroll on next weigh in because I am on a roll people!!
Left the docs, after checking Jells appointment was booked in for the 26th May in the morning which it is. In the diary nowalso put another prescription request through for some odd bits I need that aren't on repeat. They are good like that. It will be at the pharmacy on Weds, no Dr needed
Went to pharmacy where the pharmacist wanted to do my annual review. S0d it I thought and did it while I had a pocket full of biometrics. She thinks I walk a LOT compared to most of her clientele and get a lot of exercise considering my restrictions. She was also impressed with my new diet, and explained the fat thing :rotfl: and worried about the volume of medication I am on so I explained the things I had done/how much I take and she was a lot happier.
Finally got home. Was starving, it being past 11am with no food for the first day since my diet. I got a headache, felt really tired and lethargic. I made poached eggs (3) with asparagus and savoy cabbage and plenty of butter and sea salt. Nicey. Didn't make the headache go really though. Sat down on the bed prepared to play on the laptop and maybe take a nap and read dfw's diary which kickstarted me into action so I went and kondoed the kitchen instead :rotfl:
I got rid of 2 giant bin liners of stuff I was keeping because I didn't want to upset my mum (like the ugliest BROWN bowl in the world for baking which is older than me) and stuff I was keeping for lord knows when. Cupboards, drawers, under the sink... everywhere emptied and spick and span. Tea towels have a home!! They have been kondoed into a drawer.
I had a handful of almonds and went to pick Jelly up. Got horrifying tummy pains on the way home that kept stopping me in my tracks, but they got better once we got home. Odd. At nursery Jelly was in tears, has a sore bum so rang the Docs on the way home (while crippled sat on a wall trying to keep Jelly still) and got her in for an urgent evening appointment, where you just go and sit and wait. It wasn't too long and I had given her dinner before we went there at half 5. Got home, with prescriptions for piriton and metanium for nursery as her hay fever has also kicked in this week. Poor kid.
She had a custard pot as she had been very good and then she asked to go to bed. Once she was down I cooked chicken breasts with avocado and kale and broccoli and ate that and then... I went to bed!! :rotfl: at 8pm! I still had a headache and was exhausted from the days walking efforts.
Today I got up, took her to nursery, popped to get another 2 dozen eggs, some bread, ham and mushrooms and then came home where I had a big mushroom omelette at a reasonable timeand now I am going to tell YNAB about my bumper pay packet in today.
Hope you all have a lovely day!! xxxx

Hehe, you're handing Jelly into nursery and running sounds like me this morning. Dude through the door, late for work, bye. I ran past the window back to the car and glanced in to confused bewildered faces from staff and dude.
I rang to check on him when I got to work and explained.
You also reminded me I need to book a check up with the dentist and have a dreaded health check with the nurse on thursday. Meh
And late to the party but..... my plates have breakfast/lunch/dinner wording round the edge and a knife and fork image in the middle. How many times have I tried to scrub the plate thinking there was something still in the middle, or worse tried to pick the knife and fork up off the plate!! :rotfl: They were a present. My old set are in the loft as there was nohing wrong with them and i got sentimental as we've had them since we bought our house, (well before actually and stashed cos they were reduced haha)January 2015 - LBM

Wow, that's an update and a half! Glad that the things that needed to go well went well.
Aww poor Jelly, hope she feels better soon!
Well done on the weight loss :j bet that's extra motivation to keep the diet going along with lack of migraines
I'm trying to clear my Mum's kitchen....she's not being very co-operative in letting me get rid of stuff! Although she did let me ditch 3 saucepans and multiple lonely saucepan lids so I guess that's something lol.Credit card respend 2551.58 (15/02/17)0 -
