Oh Lilt. So sorry to hear about your pops. I dunno what else to say :( hugs

Glad jelly has had a good 'beaster'. Dude just keeps bringing me more eggs and handing them to me to open, I say no so he goes and gets another one!

The lamb sounds yummy. Funnily enough I have lamb tonight. Only its minted and rolled with stuffing mmm.

C'est moi of Daligas infamy :rotfl: (Disclaimer: Others maybe cheaper for your area and a comparison is probably the safest bet ;))

What a rollercoaster time you're having. So sorry to hear about your Pops :(

And Jelly too  Hope you're banging the door down for a quick Consultant referral and appointment (or bribing with a home-made loaf or lentil something-or-other :D)

Well done to HIM on the job front, future looking bright, not necessarily the colour of a certain phone company though ;)

Aiming to read back and catch up further - I maybe on your thread some time ;)

Seriously, hope you are doing ok, and your special Mum and family are coping ok :)

    :grouphug: Dodgy hugs

Ohhh nooo!!! Lucky I do hope you're ok! Will be over to catch up soon. Poor boy(s) and mummy, you must be shattered!!

HM thanks hun, I am tickled watching a video of friends little boy, also a H, who finds two easter eggs with excitement, then promptly drops them on the floor and squeals his way over to the TV for yesterdays Kinder egg toys :rotfl: love him, he was 1 in November and he is edible!!

ALLLIIIIIIII wb wb wb wb!!!! Missed you :D I tried to keep it quiet on here, honest I did ;) daligas was indeed the cheapest for grandparents :) so mum very happy. Saved £300 a year!

Can't bang any doors down until tomorrow but fear not I shall be doing so!

Whirlwind morning. I knew the weather was coming in this afternoon so got up, made porridge for small and an egg sandwich for me. Got egg grease splattered everywhere so then scrubbed the kitchen. Got a load of washing on, got Jelly bathed and dressed, got showered and dressed myself, tidied Jellys room and stripped and changed her bedding. Kondo folded all her washing away and stacked mine ready to be ironed. Swapped the washing onto the other airer and folded what was dry, then out we went for a walk to the park. madam was 'sliding' down a muddy leafy bank, but luckily it was all dry! She loved it. We then went to look at some fountains and pretty flowers in the ornamental gardens and then went to the little park to play on the swing, slide and climbing frame. Once thoroughly worn out, we walked home, got our coats off and washed our hands and baked 2 dozen dairy free cookies. While I washed those pots Jelly went and got her felt tips out and was sat drawing at her table. Went out to check on her and she was falling asleep sat up! I really did wear her out with our couple of hours out :D

Picked her up after the ubiquitous video of her nodding off repeatedly. Popped her in bed and wiped her face which was covered in felt tip! She's nodding while I catch up on here and the washing machine finishes off. Then, that is it! ALL of my washing DONE!! :j:j:j And I am strategically dressing myself and Jelly to make sure we only have one basket of clothes :rotfl:

In the meantime the weather has gone cloudy and cold and even a bit foggy. Glad we went out this morning :) I can chill in the house and if it gets REALLY cold have the washing drying on the radiators to keep the house toasty for a couple of hours. In laws meant to be arriving at 3-4. Him finishing at 4:15 so here for half past to 20 to 5. In laws not likely to stay long. Him might stay as my parents come down tomorrow and I think he wants to see my mum more than he is letting on. Not seen her since the chemo started and now with pop dying I think he just wants to give her a hug! If so he can have leftover roast with me ;) If not I will be slicing it and putting it in gravy in the freezer!

    Lots of love xxx

Sending lots of hugs over your way, Lilty xx

When you push to see a specialist, arm yourself with the dates of vom incidents - look back through here if necessary. Stress that YOU are also allergic and that you know what you feed her IS dairy free. Possibly take them a sample...!

Hi westie I woke her but by staying up late I meant 8pm latest. My small has never stayed up past 9pm even as a newborn or on her worst nights after a 3 hour nap in the afternoon :rotfl: - I am lucky really. The only time she is up at 11 is when she is ill and has already had 3-4 hours of sleep!

apple thank you hon, hope you are still having a lovely time!!! Lucky for me most of the vomming incidents of the last year have been catalogued and punctuated by trips to the Doctor if not the hospital! I think it just got to a point where her bowel was so inflamed nothing was passing through from her stomach :(

Just had a moment of excitement :D over £5k in the savings! :j that is before the bonus and raise and AFTER the £480 spend on clothes! :j

Just been face timing with mum when the home phone rang. Was my nan insistent that she had only just found out about Pop. Mum just had to talk her down and talk over the angry shouting of 'you kept me away from him and why didn't you tell me' blah blah blah. I don't know how she has the patience to deal with her. I really don't. If my nan was a dog, she would have been put down. I don't understand why it is illegal to extend that human kindness to people. I am one of those people who will end up in prison for helping someone go to Dignitas... Or for murder after I've fed my nan too many of her dozens of daily tablets. As it is, my mum is left in tears because she has to keep photos of my pop, dead in his bed, with my nan and my Uncle next to him just to show nan at times like this. She is not my nan any more. My nan would never put people through what she is doing now if she was well. I am aware that that is controversial, but I don't really care after what I have just witnessed. An old woman in a lot of pain, beside herself with grief over something which she is going to forget and be told every day for the rest of her life until she forgets he ever existed and lives. And the damage that is causing to my immensely fragile mum and her brother.

    Alzheimers sucks.

    Well done on the savings!

I have very little direct experience of Alzheimers, my grandad had a stroke and lost his ability to remember but did not get the confusion and mood swings that alzhiemer patients get. Losing someone before they're gone is difficult because you're grieving and coping with the leftover (that sounds horrible) and it just doesn't get easier. All you can do is do your best and know that things may not get better but different. :)

When my dad was in a home, there was a guy there with alzhiemers and he always called out for his wife (molly). He did it with rhythm so I used to dance to it. Trust me, a man in coma is not a great conversationalist. Aww, poor molly.

Um.. I don't know if I made you feel worse.. I'm trying to be sympathetic.
