Woohoo!!!
So, after my osteo appt where he could basically do nothing for me and there was a lot of knee rocking and me lying with his hands underneath strategic areas of my back/bum (ooer missus) I felt a little teeny bit looser. Anything is good right now. Am wound up like a spring! I have a couple of those gel packs in the freezer and shall be using them overwhelmingly between now and Tuesday when I have the next one. Hopefully that, plus some beginners pilates a couple of times a day will loosen me up enough for him to be able to do some work. £40 is a lot of money for an hour spent chatting about greek food and hair going frizzy. He did raise a reason for the bone splintering pain in my left hip. My right one is 'degenerating' so he says. I am 28, not 68 fgs. Anyways he worked a lot on the right side and my right hip is feeling a tad sore now. So maybe some ice there too.
I was a bit surprised I could do any of the pilates. But am a fan already if I can stay at beginners levellots of arm movements and pulling knees up etc. That will do me!
Ali I have NO core. Literally none. It is as if there are no ligaments or muscles between my chest bone and my lower pelvis. It is rather pathetic that I have become so wobblybut I hope to build it.
Have just had a little bowl of muesli to stop me getting nibblesome and eating one of the 7 muffins sat in the kitchen. Nearly died when I read the calories on those. Heres me having 2 a day on a Friday or 2 of some equivalent. Not to mention mountains of chocolate. Him struggles to eat 1500 calories a day. I can manage it in one sitting. This needs to stop
Have 2.5kg carrots. Yards of celery. Houmous, Pesto, peppers and cucumber. lunch is servedit is all the low fat low salt versions - have found carrot sticks and houmous stop me nibbling during the day if I eat them for lunch :j
As for illness. Him and I are both struggling with colds. Mainly a sore throat and raised glands, but with added snuffles today. He has gone home in a foul mood to battle his after a day of a monster child. I meanwhile get to struggle through with said child. She is much better, although has a nasty cough which I am assured she never once showed during the day today but now sounds like she smokes 40 a day. Been in and she is restless and also very snuffly so have given her some piriton liquid (which she took in her sleep lol) and hopefully that will stop her snufflies and some of the reason for the cough.
We are all good thougham full of determination to lose weight and haven't had this motivation for it in a long while so thank you new clothes
Off to get my ice pack groove on while my painkillers kick in (still haven't taken any yet today) and then I am having an early night. Am freshly showered and in soft cosy new pyjamashappy me!
Have a lovely Friday night everyone. And a lovely sleep. xxx

Lilt, I think you'll be amazed how just a little bit of pilates can really help - not just core, but general posture and balance and taking pressure off the bones. Did my back the world of good, shame the teacher stopped the classes that were nearby (nearest one 8 miles away through rush hour traffic - no thanks
).
Might look into some online stuff myself, degeneration is horrid so young. Arthritis in mine now - I feel your pain
