Back to Basics, What make and model of PC do you own?

As if you know we can give you the link for all the drivers you need from the manufacturers site.

I didn't have sound on my PC for about 2 years after I heard a pop, just like yourself and had yellow exclamation marks. Every time I d/l a driver, it froze my whole PC and had to do a restore.

I didn't know how to install a new soundcard, so left it.

When I upgraded Windows, my sound returned, so mine was a Windows fault.

Try the drivers as suggested first and hopefully it will solve your issue.

I searched on here with "Multimedia controller" & i found another post where virtually the same thing had happened after a complete reinstall & he was recommended to go to the Dell web site & get drivers.
Well mine is Fujitsu, so I went to theirs.
You put in the number on the back of the PC & it offers you a choice of downloads, one was called audio si I figured that was it, BUT there were three different ones in it. So I picked the latest?
Anyway, I've downloaded it & I've extracted them? What next?

I've gone to the hardware tab again & tried to "update" drivers. I though it might work now as I have got the download in my PC (somewhere?)

But they still won't download

There is also one with a yellow exclamation mark called PCI simple communactione controller

If you click on the properties for each of them it says DRIVER NOT INSTALLED code 28

I did answer that when you asked, but I burried the answer in post number 14

Its a Fujitsu, I'm a bit bit lost about the model, do you mean serial number YSSP441921

I know its a Fujitsu but what model? i.e Scaleo or what? I will research that serial code however

have you got a manual it will say in that, or click on Start, right click My Computer then left click on Properties do you see any Model info?

Under the computer name tab, its says its full name is home-eae99c4d8f.
