I'm going to make it worse...according to the news and my local post office there is likely to be a strike this coming Friday and then the Monday directly afterwards..so post may suffer some serious delays. This oculd actually mean that posting something late on Thursday 2nd class might not actually arrive until the following Wednesday

The CWU has not called for a strike for next Friday yet, and in any case for any strikes that are to take place, a minimum of 1 weeks notice must be given. These dates will be displayed on the Royal Mail website.

The CWU and Royal Mail are hopefully sitting down in the week to negotiate, and if these fail, then the most likely seems to be Friday 13th, and Monday 16th.
