Yes the big companies save a few pennies on postage but the end result is that individuals will soon have to pay the true cost of posting. RM has to make money somehow and if it losses contracts that subsidize the cheap posting of packages by the individuals, the man in the street will have to pay more.. ie your ebay packages0

So how is all this the fault of Joe Bloggs or businesses trying to make honest profit?
If it is true that government set the prices and make the conditions under which RM can operate, why is it that posters here are blaming the public for the potential downfall of RM? Why do they also complain that businesses are looking for the best deal possible to achieve the very sensible and businesslike goal of raising profits?
Sounds to me like the problem that RM has is with the government and that's who the unions should be targeting instead of damaging their relationship with the millions of customers who are stuck in the middle with no choice in the matter. Why Pay High Fees
on eBay when there ARE alternative sites available?0 -
tbh our local posties are so crap these days I doubt I'll notice the difference.0

A lot of us don't have unions to back us up when we get our poultry pay rise. Why should they?Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

Sorry, had to chuckle. Poultry :rotfl:My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
it is all down to a lousy government. In 1989 the RM pension fund was one of the best in the world and now they have to pump millions into it every year to keep it afloat..thank to Gordon Brown the next PM...God help us0
