    No, you wouldn't be sending to Soolin, you would be sending to Mrs R Blake although your eBay email would say you sold to Soolin.

    So if for instance the item I bought on Saturday was apparently dispatched yesterday. My mother will text me when it arrives but if it doesn't arrive then after a decent amount of time and having spoken to the seller I (soolin) will open the case.

    My eBay registered address is London but all your seller protection would apply to the address that I used when I checked out, which is NOT London.

    So you would be dealing with soolin about a lost item sent to Mrs R Blake.

    This is geting silly now.

    I understand what you are saying in the quote above, which is why I don't understand why I received a case message from a person who does not own the account and whom I did NOT post an item to.

    Seems you are trying to say the message I received (from this strange name) was from the account holder, but if that was the case, the message stated they were waiting on the item because ........

    If this was the case then why would I send an item to another name and address when the person(Strange name) was waiting on the item.

    Do you follow?
    Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

    This shouldn't even be possible to do. You should be sending items to the address on the paypal payment email which can differ to the buyers address on the item sold email. So you shouldn't be addressing items going off the item sold email which i'm presuming you've done to have gotten an address!

    Went back to your first comment above.

    So, if you click on "print postage label now"(It does give you a warning sign stating no payment received) - which address does it give you? the account holders, or the address in the paypal payment (which I would not have - as no payment yet received).

    Once they have paid, does the "print postage now" give the up to date address? but before when they have not paid - it gives the account holders name and address.

  • Can you prove delivery?

    Simple question, no other detail required.

    I sent to name (female) and address stated.

    You may open the case but you would not send a message stating "where is my item I'm ........." stating the fact that YOU Not Mrs R Blake is waiting on the item.

    All back to the message I received stating they were waiting on the item because ...... signed (strange male name) and the item I posted was for a male[/QUOTE]

    So just to clarify;
    Soolin buys and pays for item on behalf of Mrs R Blake
    Item is sent to Mrs R Blake
    Mrs R Blake does not receive item
    Soolin opens case and includes message stating "where are my
    ...... I'm ........" confirming that the item is for Soolin
    NOT Mrs R Blake.

    Maybe it could be cleared up. Is there any way I would know I was not sending to account holders name and address?

    Would just like to know;

    Male item listed
    Sent to female name and address
    Received message from Male asking where his item is

    Maybe two people are using the same account - could be the answer, instead of me thinking along the lines "scam"

    OK, forget my analogy it was over complicating matters. s theonlywayisup says, all that matters is that unless you can prove delivery to the address that PayPal stated was 'OK to send to' you will lose the case.

    All the rest is immaterial.

    As for your direct question
    Maybe it could be cleared up. Is there any way I would know I was not sending to account holders name and address?

    No, there is no way of knowing whether the eBay account registration is in the same name as the person on the PayPal address details. It does not matter though , as above, regardless of anything else you would be covered as long as you could prove delivery to the address given by PayPal.

    Please note my earlier response as well, you need to refund this before eBay force you to as otherwise it will be a strike on your seller dashboard.

    OP, The ONLY way you will win this case is if you can show delivery. If you can't then you won't, regardless of who you think bought it and where it was sent.

    End of.
