Anybody else been as stupid as me ???

OK, wait for it.:D

Sold some items at the weekend on e-bay. Parcelled them up, ready for posting, waiting for payment.

Only mixed up two parcels, and sent one that had NOT been paid for yet !!!!

Wouldn't normally worry, however this is a Newbie, and has (0) feedback, have already sent two invoices and one message to no avail.:(

Can I kiss this item - Goodbye ???
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

  • Inevitably there are stupid people.

But the wise are those who learn from their mistakes.

We have all made them and most have made the very same.

Fingers crossed your buyer is one of us!
  • You can still raise an NPB on them to try to recover the money if they fail to pay.
That will hopefully kick them up the bum, or at least recover your fees.
  • This shouldn't even be possible to do. You should be sending items to the address on the paypal payment email which can differ to the buyers address on the item sold email. So you shouldn't be addressing items going off the item sold email which i'm presuming you've done to have gotten an address!

I've had this happen to me and I paid.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

I had a bulky item. Payment was by e-cheque. Had courier coming to collect items next day so thought would take a chance and send it just to get it out my way.

You can guess the rest... payment failed and opened a not paid case and they never paid.

Shows even people that have been on Ebay for years can do silly things.

I risked posting a low cost item of around £5. It was Friday - and was the only item not paid for, and i was on way to Post Office. I wanted an Ebay free weekend and buyer had feedback of 245.

He never paid and ignored my emails.

Just HATE these e-cheques, I got one, (once) you have to wait for absolutely ages before you get paid, or I did anyway.

So I (think) I looked into it and if I remember right - I filtered my accepting bids only from paypal bidders. BUT

I (thought) I also filtered this to NOT accept any bids from a bidder with a feedback of UNDER 5. (So how this bidder got through the filter - I'm not sure)

My buyer has still not paid.:(
