Protesting peacefully to this government will make no difference. These people have had no other option. Desperate times make desperate people take deperate action.0

oh and that would would make the home owner who'd spent several thousand pounds feel so much better!
And who puts the house back to the way they came to it. Thats no compensation.
You buy a holiday home, do it up ready for the summer. Come and visit it and some unknown tennants who won't let you in have redecorated it for you.
You can't go to haven and take over a caravan because it's not being used in the winter. I'm sure they would have something to say about that.Converted comper to MSE. Thank you for all your answers!0 -

So who is paying their bills? Who cannot turn off supplies? Who pays for their water, heating, electric, gas, council tax?
Who's insurance becomes invalid? Who's home drops in value? Who has to stump up the costs of removing them?
Yes, the house owner. He/She has to pay for all of that, and then be on the recieving end of no insurance should the squatters damage something.
Sympathise? Don't think so. Theiving scum is all they are.0 -
i can sympathise with the ones who are not chosing the option to invade peoples homes.
my cousins have all lived together at some points due to housing costs. 2 of them now have children so thats now diffficult. they seem to move between each others houses to save costs. One actually came back to the area for a while as it was more cost effective but shortly moved back with her parents.
They live in St Ives so it's particully bad there.
I do feel for them as we have just bought a house here in the midlands where my family were all from originally. It was a struggle like anyone else but weve worked hard for it and put a lot aside for it. Job propects are better here making buying easier thats why I will never follow the rest of my family who have been there for years.Converted comper to MSE. Thank you for all your answers!0 -

Can you not find some sympathy even if you disagree with the actions taken. These are people who were born and raised in communities which have been laid to waste by speculative interests.
If people were hording food and water it would be deemed abomiable. It somehow seems acceptable that shelter the security of a home a necessary human need is acceptable to abuse and hoard.

It is recommended that squatters pay the bills, otherwise that can be considered to be stealing, it is important to remain legal if you are to do this. Check the link I posted earlier.;)"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

but my point is these people who own the homes are not abusing anything. It's not abuse to own to homes.
If this was the case there would be no rented properties and I would have had to live in council property along with the other people who would have rented privately. And i'm sure there is not enough to be able to house all those people. You cannot say it is ok for some to own more and not others. I came from council to private due to constant vandalisam of my property and car and harassment. The council would not re-house me. It's swings and roundaboutsConverted comper to MSE. I most certainly can sympathise with people who live in half empty villages, can't afford to live in the community they were born and bred in and have to move, or stay in in their parent's back bedrooms for ever more. It's not nice and it ain't funny and it's about s0dding time the goverment did something about the housing situation in this blighted kingdom. It makes me angry that we have brought up a generation damned to a poorer lifestyle than their grandparents and parents......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

You voted them in hoping they would give you everything for nothing ,you call others trolls yet you post articles hoping to cause panic in the ranks so that you think you can jump on the ladder and not miss the boat again. It will never happen we will snap them up before you get the chance to take your finger out of your @rse and make a decision that the market is at the bottom.0
