Here Here! I must add over 1000 people is an enormous number... I can't see them all leaving quietly. There must be a few owners with hoilday homes breaking a cold sweat reading this thread tonight.
  • The 2nd homowners must share the blame equally with those Cornishmen and women who sold their properties to wealthy 2nd home seekers.

This is, of course, nothing like BTL. The houses were empty.

So your all advocating people stealing homes and using the pathetic law which covers you for steeling?

My dad had a squater in his house for 3 months. He was very close to a nervous breakdown. You cannot cut off supplies, human rights mean you have to pay for their comsumption.

Disgusting and shows the mentality of some of you lot if your all cheering a bunch of people who have minds similar to chavs and the 'I want so I will take' nation.

This is appauling and I hope all of them get made to pay for the damage they have caused and the rental fee's.

Many of you are using landloards now no doubt. How would you feel if they chucked you on the street and sold up? yes...up the creek without a paddle comes to mind. Pure jealousy.

It's a case of jealousy. Nothing more, nothing less.

ermm being a little prejudice there mate. I can see a new breed of squatters being honest hard working people...why should they be druggies? Squatting isn't illegal you know.

Because the only way this property investment thing is going to be stopped is for people to take action. Goverments don't seem to care, in fact they encourage it.

Honest people who steel other peoples houses?! Yes, I can see how that sentence works.

I have 2 cars, should someone nick mine and I pay for their petrol, road tax and maintenace!? All because they don't have one and it's not fair I have 2? Well guess what, I work, I pay for both cars. My choice.

I see no rejoicing only sadness and despair by a generation displaced. I'm sorry that this story hasn't enlightened you to the terrible social state of our country.

Is there not a new law bubbling under, that allows local authorities to put tenants into empty property, even if the owner wants to keep it empty ????

I haven't personally heard of this proposed law, but it will be welcome and a first small step in the right direction.
