It should be :T
But while it is a legal form of money saving, is it not right that it is discussed here:money:"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

Oh and sheraz2, thanks for the PM. I will not quote it as that would be bad forum etiquette.

All abuse should be reported by hitting the red triangle. Abusive pm's can be forwarded to the abuse team also. It's the only way to deal with trolls.God made man, man made money, money made man mad0

But they are doing a lawful activity, surely it is right that people here should be allowed to defend them."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.

It's an emotive subject, with people justifiably angry for different reasons. Nothing wrong with alittle bluntness in getting your point across. Why run to the censors?
There is a difference between being blunt in putting your point across and being downright abusive and personal. I don't call make threats stating your opinion, do you?~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Let's not get too carried away here. No threats were made.
Words that have been used on this post regarding squatters were aimed at me personally that's all. It could have been a post on the thread but sheraz2 decided to send a pm instead.
I meant that it would be bad etiquette to openly broadcast a quote of something contained in a "private message".

In all honesty, I can understand the cause of the squatters but can't justify or condone the act.
My fathers been in the BTL side of things for 30 plus years. My parents are about as frugal as they come, my dads business did well so he put it all in property as it came in, for no other reason apart from the fact that he didn't want to fritter his money away on anything, he's from the old school. This is when people were snapping at your heels for you to take your property off them.
he's had his fair share of problems with squatters. Causing him damage worth considerable sums of money. Unacceptable I think. People should be able to protect their property with any force neccesary (but that's another thread).
The merry go round continues, as long as propery is in demand, more and more people will look at it as a bullet proof investment and a fail safe way of making money.
Resentment is brewing, discontent is going to lead to some sort of anarchy . High houseprices are NO good for anyone, except for the wealthy few (banks etc). If everyone worked harder and harder to buy property, this would only lead to property becoming even more expensive, as more and more people would be willing to fore-go a life to get the foot on the ladder.
Some people who have got their foot on are advocating 'vulture capitailsm', a free market devoid of any government intervention. This is in nobodys interest except the super rich. In society, shelter is one of the three basic rights that we should afford one another. Hoarding what is a needed amenity and then not making use of it as well, is an ethical wrong far greater than squatting. I don't care how much you earn and how much tax you pay.God made man, man made money, money made man mad0
