Can't remember it's name, but there's a small village in Cumbria which is nine tenths empty for most of the year because of holiday home owners.

Britain laid to waste. Gone are the days of the community. Welcome to 2007 under NuLabour.

The present Government has many faults but, IMHO, the seeds of the present situation were sewn by Margaret Thatcher and the rest of the Tory scum.

    The reason lies here -

Bank of England Takes Property Blame

The group that decides the interest rate deliberately fuelled a consumer boom to boost house prices and personal debt so that "UK Plc" could avoid recession.

    http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30400-1256664,00.html/

This some had already realised but to hear the previous governor of the Bank of England admit to it was just breathtaking and sickening at once.

The social disease of rampant house price inflation has been created from interest rates kept artificially low in order to avoid a recession. This inturn created an era of cheap credit, and a speculative asset boom. We now have a society addicted to credit.

The independence of the Bank of England is a complete falsehood.

I don't remember this story reaching the evening news I wonder why.

I hope this finally enlightens some of you who refuse to acknowledge the reality of NuLabours so called miracle economy. I rest my case.

Governor issues 'toxic' debt warning -

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2007/06/21/cnboe121.xml

A debt mountain sewn by this government and the Bank of England and they now have the nerve to issue a warning about it.

Interesting thread, with some disgusting comments, and a few very nasty PMs so I hear, including to offer to burn somones home down. (Hardly in the MSE sprirt is it)
I dont understand whay this thread hasnt been closed down, mention pirate DVDs or P2P networks on here and where to find them, and the thread is closed, but advocate stealing someone property, hey thats fine, because that suits some peoples criminal agenda.

If you cant afford a property in your local town, then better yourself, improve your skill set, increase your earnings, move to an area you can afford.

Theft is theft, plain and simple

The difference is, pirate DVDs are illegal, squatting isn't:T
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

All abuse should be reported by hitting the red triangle. Abusive pm's can be forwarded to the abuse team also. It's the only way to deal with trolls.
