  • Hi there - ready for another great day?!!

Yesterday was a little bit like one step forward two back as I had to mess up the lovely hall to clear everything out of my tidgy little laundry room to clean it. Ugh - no idea when it was last done but I did everything - even the high shelf which seemed to be covered in sand?!!! and the window which I really struggled to reach. Have removed a trolley which had hardly anything on it so there is now room for my shopping trolley to live in there rather than it decorating the hall.
Every time I deep clean another room I find I am moving things about. My DH usually has no clue where anything lives - so he will have not a chance after this week!:rotfl:

Still doing my own thing a bit this week but will do some kitchen jobs later today - ceiling and light/ window and frame, wall tiles and both doors are on my list! (after I have caught up with yesterday's still to do items).

Have a good day everyone xx

I didn't do a lot yesterday. After the flooring fitter finished, I was so shattered that I slept for over an hour in the afternoon, then I was out all evening :) But DH has nearly finished building our CoD :T so today I can start moving our clothes upstairs and that in turn will free up space in the downstairs bedroom unit, ready for unpacking.

We have SW this morning, then we're off to 1ke@ *again* to get the backing piece for the bookcase, bedside units for our room and and a CoD for the back bedroom/office - maybe have lunch there too ;)
I need to finish off some bits of touch-up painting this afternoon (cue multiple paint brushes to be cleaned) and hope to hang the light shades in the HSL and 2 bedrooms. DH has 2 cupboards to make up for the DR, then will be out this evening, so I can get on uninterrupted ;)

Must remember to check out the SC setting on the oven after breakfast and get tonight's meal on to cook before we go out...

I think I may be dead this morning!!! My throat feels like someone applied paint stripper last night.. it was bad enough yesterday!

The girls (9 and 11) were at a carol concert last night which ended at 8:45 supposedly and KH brought them home at 10:30!!!!!!!!!!! I was firstly concerned so I rang and he said they were 'on their way' and it had finished at 9:15... bit it sure as hell does NOT take 75 minutes to get back from there.. I could walk it in 35 minutes!!!! and they were driving! .... So, now I am just cross!

TD on airing Squeaks school clothes.. I need to get her some new trousers as hers are half mast already.. she only got them in September! We measured her at the weekend as she had visibly grown and she has grown a whole inch since 4th September!

    Morning all.

Changing my plans again today. I'm expecting a phonecall this morning from DD's teacher about the next step dealing with the bullying. She's speaking to DD first thing after assembly then calling me to discuss things. I also have DD's PE kit to fumigate _pale_ and work to do. So I'm going to carry on working on the window in a bit for an hour adding in all the little details. Starting to regret doing 9 reindeer now :o

    Personal for the week:
    Bank /errands
    Order in for work WED
    Thur: Parents evening

Wipe the mantle and coffee table
    30 minutes to spare ...

    Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
Use a cloth to get into the corners and wipe the skirtings
    30 minutes to spare ....
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
    Find and wipe the worksurfaces
Wipe the table, including the legs
    Got an hour ....
Sort the cupboard under the sink

    PERSONAL TUESDAY:
    Laundry x3 minimum
Work: returns, transfer money, sort through orders, put order through
    SC tea
Budget/accounts - accounts updated, just need to work on budget later.

Okay, I'm off to get some breakfast as I've been up since 7am when DD tripped the electrics with the toaster AGAIN

ETA: and it would appear that DD has broken the toaster. Its just tripped the electrics again when I've tried to use it. Oh well a sandwich for breakfast then and I'll go hunting for the spare fuses and try changing that before I declare the toaster dead. We've only been saying for a few months that when this one breaks we're getting a better one that can take crumpets or 4 slices of toast at a time! It must have heard us lol
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Nicki, my toaster did that. Amazingly when I actually emptied out all the crumbs it works fine again. Hope something as simple as that works for you, although you probably clean your toaster anyway!

Today, I have cut DH's hair as he fell asleep last night and have hoovered downstairs.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Good morning ladies, hope we are all having a productive day.

I'm going to start the list for today at 11am. There are only a few dishes to do so I can focus on making some actual progress instead of "firefighting" dishes...think the tupperware cupboard and medication area of the counter need taming as a priority.

Monday - living room, hallway, stairs
    25 minutes

    Clear the floor of clutter
Remove anything now which can give more space for putting the tree up
Wipe furniture, remove unnecessary ornaments for ease of cleaning in future
    Kitchen - do dishes
    Pop WM on

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    15 minutes....
Declutter and wipe the floors (my kitchen is so tiny that I don't own a mop)
Use a cloth to get into the corners and wipe the skirtings
    30 minutes to spare ....
Wipe the big appliances and units..
    Find and wipe the worksurfaces
Sort the cupboard under the sink and tupperware cupboard
    WM on
    Dry and fold clothes
