Parents evening went very well. I got there at 3.40pm sat down to see the first teacher at 3.50pm (when DD finally appeared from the library), and saw the last one at 4.50pm!Our last appointment was supposed to be at 5.55pm but we were already home by then :rotfl: Going right at the start meant that a lot of the teachers were just sitting around chatting as there weren't many parents about so we just jumped in and saw whoever we could whenever we could
Last time we went appointments started at 5pm and we were still there at nearly 8pm! Quite liking ex not coming along (mutual decision), but I'll compose him an email with the info in soon when I find the notes I made
Had take-away for tea due to the glowing report, paid my work invoice, caught up online with various bits, just waiting until 9.50 to submit my order properly then I think I'll have an early night. So I'm going to do a 20 min challenge and see if I can extinguish some hotspots in the livingroomCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Squeaks cards written. My head is pounding and my tongue is so painful I could cry.. so I am going to bed to be sad on my own.

Morning all - here's hoping everyone is safe this morning. Sad news about Nelson Mandela.
Didn't get much done yesterday and not feeling much better today so will take it in baby steps and do as much or as little as I feel like - instructions from DH to take it easy and watch some of the fims I have recorded that he won't watch!!!! I think he wants me to have a clear out in case there are some Christmas clashes and we don't have space to record them!!
Have a good day all - and hugs where needed. xxJuly 16 £95/£200

Will edit and whatnot as I go.
DD will be cleaning the bathroom today. I happened upon her bed sheets covered in mascara yesterday on my way to bed. she's clearly got something on the wand and wiped it all over her WHITE sheet. I made her scrub that and when he get home she can clean all the mascara and face mask from the bathroom sink.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Is it still wild, jazee? lots calmer here.
X
It got calm enough that we could tidy in the garden, but there is a shed to be fixed at the weekend. Bet DH can't wait! Our DD went to her BFs flat in Hull but at about 7pm, they were evacuated and ended up spending the night at a friends. I'm waiting to hear if she thinks she can make it out of Hull this morning to get to work in York. Depends on the roads which were flooded last night.
Right, going to attempt some jobs from the lists, walk the dogs and then tackle another day of paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Morning all
Hope it is calm everywhere this morning and nobody has suffered too much damage.
RIP Nelson Mandela, such an amazing man of our times who will have touched millions of lives.
Dentist and hygienist for me today in the next town so I'll hopefully do a few bits whilst I'm up that way. Should get in an hour's flying before I go though - to the very dusty bathroom first I think. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
