Hello, I paid my usual direct debit today and rounded up some more so my first entry for 2014 is £929.97. (no 7). Won't manage much more this month as have a tax bill to pay
    mortgage 1 33,000. paid nov 2012 :D. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
  • Can I join please? My target for 2014 is £12000. Overpaid in January 2014 £850 so far, hope I can do a bit more later on in the month.
  • Please can I join? My target is £3818.80. Very specific, I know, but this will take our mortgage below the £120,000 mark.

I probably could have aimed a little higher but after a difficult year last year, we have decided that we will go on a big family holiday this year. Not very MSE of me but family and experiences are more important than money :j

First overpayments of 2014 made for number 24 total of £748.81

    Regular overpayment dd of £642.54
Then called up and made an overpayment of £106.27, leftover from money made before we moved, rest was used to buy furniture. Was meant to overpay this in December but never rang up to sort it.

That overpayment has reduced the term by 3 months - think 2014 is going to be the year of spreadsheets!
    Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
    Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
    Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 2058
