A lesson to those who are paralysed unless spoonfed.

One post, one appeal, one charge cancelled - simples. Well done AE1975. :T

  • Hi

I really wish I had read this post when I originally got an invoice to pay £60 from Smart Parking Ltd. I live in Northern Ireland. I parked in a car park that previously had been manned only to find that I had to pre pay with cash or download an app to pay. I had to download the app which took several minutes. I paid for 2 hours and as my meeting ran over I added a further 1 hour. I was 7 minutes over when I left the car park but did not realise this until I got the invoice. I appealed to the company who turned my appeal down. I am now getting letters from a debt collection company asking for a payment of £160. If I had gone on this forum sooner I would not have appealed. Have you any advice now that I have appealed? Thanks, Mary.

First piece of advice - ignore them!
Second piece of advice - please do not jump in on anyone else's thread, start a new one of your own. But as there's no more advice needed for you than the first piece, there'll be no need for a new thread.

Why is this posted here in the FAQs thread?

Ask a Board Guide to cut it into a new thread or re-post it please, in a NEW THREAD.
