How can I find time to make these super-arty lunches

I think it was because i've done more than 1 order with that seller? Or maybe he is keeping me sweet so i keep on spending loads...
I def agree with you mumoftwo, pinkflop it will become addictive... i even dream bento! I am thinking about tomorrow's bento lunches already and my dh has only left for work with today's lunch! I think i will be making teriyaki chicken with rice for dinner tonight and the left overs will be for dh and dd's lunch tomorrow. Found the recipe in the new bento book i've just received and it's so simple!
I am just waiting on one more parcel before i will be making some sushi rolls! I want to make these chick faces - http://notabrownbag.wordpress.com/page/2/ dd has already requested a Cinderella bento... i think that's a bit too much for me! Also, has anyone made omelette rolls before? Can we get the rectangle pan in the UK? Found some on ebay but was hoping for something cheaper locally. x
yes, I have tried the omelette rolls, not hard at all, in a normal frying pan.
I will try and explain what I did:
take 3 eggs, beaten. Put a bit of oil (I wipe with kitchen towel with some oil on) in a non stick pan, put about 1/3 of the egg mixture in so it creates a very thin omelette, cook until nearly set
now for the tricky bit: roll this omelette up (chop sticks) I just did it with my spatula, and move it to one side of your pan, oil a bit again, now put another bit of egg mixture in and let it run against the roll you already made, so they connect, let it set, then roll the excisting omelette roll over to the other side over the top of the omelette you just made and put the last bit of egg mixture in and repeat. Take it out of the pan and neaten up and then slice,
Works great.
Here is an easier, one egg method, I found on a blog:

Hi all, i've just noticed that Paperchase now have a online shop! Only recently opened this month, i know they stock some cute bento boxes and noodle bowls so if anyone is interested (although not much yet but they are always getting new designs in!) - http://www.paperchase.co.uk/page/home/
I've also noticed that the Japan centre has got a couple of new design bento boxes, 2 tier, chopsticks and strap for £4.99. In pink and blue colour - http://www.japancentre.com/items/2931
Apart from these 2 shop anywhere else that are UK base that stock bento items?0 -

LOL! Trust you to look first! That is cute, i saw that one and the panda one in town last week but decided on the panda... that one is calling my name though... lol! I have a Paperchase near me so it's cheaper to buy instore but i was hoping to get the Happy Noodle bento box still as it was all sold out in shop... but sadly it's not online!
While i have you here now, do you have any links to any great blogs or online bento sites to look at? At the moment i enjoy looking at bentolicious blog! xx0 -
Just a thought anyone tried Etsy? Last time i looked they only had a couple of bento boxes and handmade straps... Also their picks seems a lot more expensive than the ebay sellers i've been using. $3.50 for a set instead of $1.98 i've been paying.0
