    Oops knew there was something I'd planned to do today... pleased to say weather here today wasn't anywhere near as bad as forecast so did some outside things instead. On the down side this involved a trip to the shops and so I am still stuck to NSD 9

    I have 2 NSD's to report

    one for yesterday, i sneakily passed on getting my partner gloves - town was packed anyway so I wouldn't have got a chance to get him some anyway

    one for today, had a meal at a really posh place for my mum and dad's 20th wedding anniversary and everything was already paid for.

    Errrr, rewind missy....Partner?

    Ennessdee Towers crimbo decs up and lights twinkling away - check.
    Christmas tree in the hall, fully decorated on the Twelve Days of Christmas theme - check. (Just be careful as you go past it - that's the second time today I've got chicken poop in my hair from the three French hens)
    All the veggies for the meal prepped, and the sprouts timed to start cooking on Tuesday - check.
    Kerri doing final pole dance rehearsal on Friday morning, then panto dress rehearsal Friday afternoon - check. (Sorry, kerri, no time for any other kind of life in NSD land!)
    Auditions for remaining cast members tomorrow, then intensive rehearsal schedule for rest of week - check.
    Lights, sound, costumes, makeup, props sorted - check.

    Just one more thing to sort out, Igor - the ninety-two pound turkey!!!

    I'll be there Nargle, sorry I've been AWOL except for rehearsals, been mega busy in RL, and amongst other things, next time I think of doing homemade presents, someone slap me (hmmm, see a queue forming already eh?) I was watching the sewing programme on last night & imagining how I'd love to be among all those bits of braid & rummaging in the ribbons *sigh*.. & then there's that woman who professes to make a 'bargain gift' from one of the cashmere cardies she has shrunk, with the help of a top-notch artisan to show her how!!! If that's the cost of making bespoke gifts then High Street tat, here I come :(

    That's my favourite time of this part of the year; feels like pulling off ya boots & wiggling ya toes in front of a crackling fire, once you know there's not a single thing left to get *sighs again*

    No 3 welcomed to the hearth yesterday, although I almost gave in to the desire for some garry baldy; it was far too wet & the wind was very windy to sacrifice a strategic nsd for... & my trousers fit better than they've ever done & I want to wear them over crimbo *looks for signs of immerging spare tyre, to burn new body shape into brain* but the real battle will be thisaffta when I must go shopping *bites bottom lip in scared anticipation*
    Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;
    loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

    (No, Igor, you can't play Fairy Godmother, the evil wizard, all three of the three bears AND the pantomime cow. That's Hubert's job, and it comes in Act Two after his bit as the pony pulling Cinderella's coach......now, everyone, let's run through the audience participation song again! Yes, the one they do whilst the finale scene is being set up. All together now, "We know a song that will get on yer nerves, get on yer nerves, get on yer nerves.......")
