  • I've had nothing but good service from Yodel. DPD are my favourite though - they text me an hour time slot and have never let me down.

    Some people have jobs.

So why arrange to have deliveries sent to your home knowing you're not there? Why not have them sent to your place of work instead?

  • I've sent over 800 parcels with Yodel, and have only had a few go missing / arrived damaged.
    No complaints from me.

    # On the first day of Christmas, Yodel didn't give to me ... #
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

~Chameleon~, you posted about a good experience with your Yodel delivery and others respnded with not-so-good stories, as would be expected. There's no need to respond with such negativity over those poor experiences unless you have some sort of link with Yodel and that was your original intention.

  • clearly seems someone has a link with Yodel!! I have been in on the supposed multiple days they have claimed to deliver and they never turn up. worst company in the world ever.

:rotfl: ....my only connection to Yodel is that of a satisfied customer. I'm not just an occasional customer either. I frequently receive several deliveries per week. They must be doing something right then! Neither did I ever have a problem with the HDNL, the company which preceded them.

    Now Parcelnet/Hermes.....another story entirely!

Pretty much my first experience with them is not great.
I ordered something on Ebay a week ago, and the online tracking says that there is an 'address' problem.

Yodel gave me the number of the courier delivering my item.
I just rang him, and he's saying that he's not working at the moment, and that he's got a garage full of parcels that he's been waiting for someone from yodel to pick up and give to a different courier for 4 days now.

Not sure where that leaves me.

Ask him if he's local and pick up yourself?

Not ideal I know but at least you'd get the parcel.

Remember, this is the level of service that you should expect. Anything less is not acceptable.

Can I have some of what you're smoking please?
So you're saying that if you have to wait more than 24 hours for something it's not acceptable?

    I take it that means:
    - Parcelforce 48
    - RM 2nd Class
    - RM 48
    - Yodel 48 hour
    - Hermes
    - and hundreds of other services...

    ...are all unacceptable?
    Get real.
