Remember, this is the level of service that you should expect. Anything less is not acceptable.

anything over 24 hours is unacceptable?
  • We ordered items from Lakeland on Friday, paid £5 for guaranteed delivery on Saturday. He did arrive ! Just before 7pm.

Of course, having waited in all day, we'd given up waiting and gone out for a meal. He left the parcels with a neighbour. She said he was really p****d off. "You'd think some people would've stayed in and waited for their parcels instead of going out".

I guess he has a point. But Yodel can't reasonably expect people to stay in all day from 07:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs (their delivery times). They should do time slots, if they can.

Still. Least they came. That's Christmas bought, paid for and delivered. Happy camper.
  • BTW the last two years at this time we've ordered stuff and Yodel have both times delivered days late. Mind you, the weather's a bit better than then. Maybe they've actually improved their service ? Or maybe people have ordered less online this year, sign of the times maybe ? Folk feeling the £ pinch ? Or taking advantage of the better weather and using shops instead ?

Questions questions lol. Hope you all have a great Sunday.

I must admit the service has got better since my deliveries have come straight from the depot rather than being passed to someone else who deliver when they can be bothered.
  • I hate using Yodel...the delivery never goes according to plan, I prefer not to use them if I possibly can and always pay the extra for delivery to be Royal Mail rather than the free Yodel delivery if given the option.

A delivery by Yodel of plant arrangement in ceramic vase was a day late and thrown over my 6ft high gate. Smashed to bits.
Replacement delivered 4 doors away, landed in a childs toy box and found 5 days later by neighbour.
Plants had fallen out and were dead!!!!!!!!

Then why not make sure you're home to receive your parcel? I get a text on the morning of delivery and know they will be here by early afternoon. It's hardly rocket science.

Then complain to your local depot. If they have a rogue driver they need to know.
