The skin around my nose started peeling, was really dry and red. I looked like I'd got a cold and had been blowing my nose too long. As it's a blind trial, I don't know what the product actually is or how strong it is. Think I might avoid retinol in the future.

Exactly the same as me. Peeling is very common with Retinol use, you're skin takes time to get used to it.

i'm tempted to put you lot to test :xmassmile

    sale :snow_grin

    :xmastree::xmassign:

Was tempted to get a plum Bad Gal mascara but £4.00 is hefty sum for p&p so not much of a saving after all. Would prefer to wait until there are better offers on Boots Advantage Card. Going now to polish my halo. x
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

...oh dear, I succumbed and treated myself to the No.7 goody box.

It's not your fault, it's those naughty vouchers leading us to temptation. LOL

I had a $20 Beauty reward burning a hole in my pocket and so had an aimless wander around my local store yesterday and spotted 25% off all OPI products, so started off thinking I might be frivolous and get new nail polish for Christmas but ended up being much more practical and got OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil to Go

It only cost me $0.17 cents and I was well happy with that, as my nails have gone all brittle and flaking away after a few goes with Shellac earlier this year.

Nails have been painted in Leighton Denny Drama queen with accent of Lacquerlicious - Tinsicle.

Ins in the form of a gift from DD to her dad - Gucci Guilty aftershave gift set so another 3 ins.

Morning all! I haven't read back so I hope everyone's ok?

I have added all my ebay items back onto my stash list as they're not selling and it's confusing me as to what I have and don't have!

I am not declaring them as INs or NBIs because it will throw my numbers out when really they're only moving from one spreadsheet to another!

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eyeshadows & Blush Palette
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Luminous Lipgloss in Diamond

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant Stick Clear

LOL today UU L'Oreal Perfect Clear Apricot [Strike]Face[/Strike] Scrub 150ml which I had been using as a general scrubby wash in the shower, as I couldn't bare to have it on my face after once accidentally getting it in my mouth. Today it got slathered on head to toe; I just wanted it gone out of my life. Lesson learned though. I'll never by be tempted by another of this type of foaming scrubby cleanser.

  • Good morning! Just been catching up on the thread :) Hugs to all x

I'm just in the process of moving and have all my toiletries, make up, hair stuff, nail bits all in one place (living room floor!)... I've managed to stop buying toiletries to excess in 2013, and for 2014 I think I'll be aiming to use up the excess parts of my stash.

    December UU's:
    1. Sanctuary Spa Body Wash 250ml - WNBA, nothing special
    2. Radox Grapefruit & Basil Shower Gel 250ml - WNBA, not too fond of very fruity shower gels
    3. Right Guard Shower Oils+ Shower Gel 250ml - WBA, love this! Very silky with almond, argan and other oils... Have already replaced
    4. No 7 Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser 150ml - WMBA, but defo need to alternate it with something exfoliating or use with a muslin cloth - my skin began to look a little dull using it everyday
    5. Liz Earle Botanical Hand Cream 100ml - WNBA, not moisturising enough
    6. Clarins Hand & Nail Cream 30ml - WMBA, although prefer something more moisturising
    7. Clarins Refiner Exfoliator Cream 30ml - WMBA, quite effective.

    Xxx

Oh bumm, I was going to invest in a few shellac nail varnishes this year. Do they really ruin your nails? Iv never had it on before and im very wary of the damage gel/acrylic nails do to your own. :(
