Hello everyone - been lurking since April but just couldn't help posting about blushers!

Wondercollie, I feel your pain. I've been using the same Benefit blusher (Dandelion) since 2007, hit pan in June, and am still going.

I have three more in the stash . . . . I calculate this will keep me going with daily use until about 2035 . . . at least I like it!

Since April I have UU 115 items and had 26 INs. My husband is very pleased to have two of the bathroom cupboards back. Two more to go. Onwards and upwards!
Welcome to the thread cautiouscat. :) You're doing fantastically well with your use ups, keep up the good work!
I'm feeling a bit rubbish at the moment, I think I'm run down and fending off a cold, but I seem to be anxious about everything, and getting very little of the anxiety inducing list done.
Get well soon rogueylawyer, I hope you manage to get a good night's sleep.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

I know, its why we are all here. I think I had buried my head in the sand about my stash until I wrote it all down
Its getting better already though having been on here since september
Hopefully we can help you with your nail varnish addiction, I know there are a few like minded people on here.
Sorry that your fave perfume ran out, have you tried looking on ebay?

I know, I'm quite lucky at the moment I'm living abroad whilst house hunting so admittidy the vaaaaast majority of it is stashed in my parents in storage. As in a three foot chest of drawers full of cosmetics, nail varnish (yes more again!) Creams and lotions. Im stringing by on the bare bones atm because I cringe when I think of the mountain back home. :o

I have tried e bay, its my only option though as its gone gone from the shops now. But I'd honestly be worried about maby getting a dodgy one somebody refilled with cack??

eeeeek part of shellac fell off in the night!thankfully am being "redone" tomorrow but panicked as worried the much weaker nail might break so spent an hour in bed after DH got up doing a repair of several coats(of course it looks awful all cracks and lumpy but hopefully will last)when I got up to make brekkie DH said "at last" but I explains to him that a mummy whose nails had broken and ruined her chance of long red rock star glamour for Christmas would not be worth living with so he should be grateful:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
it amazes me how fast nails grow when i have shellac,3 weeks now and about 1 mm of bare nail is showing at the base

My box of goodies from The Telegraph/All Boxed Up arrived this morning so time to 'fess up and move someone off the naughty step.

IN's (makeup not included in my totals, as I don't have very much)

300ml Joico K-Pak Shampoo - needed another shampoo, like to have 2 in use.
15ml Elemis SOS Emergency Cream. Ready for the cold weather!
10ml Nails Inc St Marks Square
Calvin Kline Lipstick in shade Flutter
Full size Bellapierre Black Mascara - I hope that this is OK, have not tried their products, but they are Bunny Friendly, so fingers crossed.
250 ml each of Pecksniff Calm hand/body lotion and bath & shower gel - will put these in the present drawer.

Totals adjusted to show 4 IN's added. (smacks own hand!!)

    Welcome Cautiouscat.

Roguey - when you refer to people as a shower it means they are a bunch of fools.

    I have uu

L'occitane Lavender Hand Cream - this was bought for DD but when the tube started to crack I thought it best to take it out of her school bag and use it up myself. It is lovely.

Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover - this does the job but does make my eyes a bit blurry.

Elemis Skin Nourishing Milk Bath 400ml - I like this, it makes the water very silky and it smells gorgeous but it is about £40 a bottle, luckily I got several full size and some minis in some very good GWP sets. Have replaced it with a 60ml bottle.

  • UU Phillip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Conditioner 60ml which came as part of a try out set I bought specifically for the itchy scalp shampoo. Shampoo was useless, however I fell in love with this conditioner and would definitely buy again after I have used up other stuff: I loved the kind of masculine, aromatherapy smell and my hair has never felt better. It made my coloured / highlighted hair feel instantly soft and smooth and I am quite sad to see it finished.

Thanks everyone :D off to the Canaries, a bit of winter sun sounds good!
So away to pack my bag and because we have hold luggage I can take all my nice PCRP toiletries.
Probably won't be back on here before Christmas but I really hope everyone has a lovely time. Thanks again for everyones kind messages xx:A

Have a lovely time. At least you can draw a line under things and really relax whilst away. Happy Christmas too. See you in 2014. x

Happy Christmas Trudij as well. Come back in 2014.

No more UUs. I did shop in my stash though yesterday and opened the L'occitane Accaca soap and body lotion so that it would layer well with my Jasmine & Bergamot fragrance. We had our Christmas party at work yesterday so wanted my fragrances to match. Am feeling a little jaded today. Even came to work with just a layer of Spackle on. Couldn't bring myself to call in sick !!
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Thanks VALM for yhe recomendation of China Glaze Ruby Slipper. I've not tried the brand berfore, but There is a Sally H&N in Guildford and I'll have a look.

I have 1 UU to report - nurture 3in1 face wipes. I know one shouldn't use them, but if I'm pooped they're invaluable. Finished this pack last night as got home from London at 1.30am after a lovely day of fun with my DD who will be in India for Christmas. I have plenty more packs in stock!

Also 3 GAs as have wrapped a recent l'Occitane GWP of travel sizes to give to my nephew's new wife. Didn't care for the smell, anyway.

  • Cautiouscat, you're doing amazingly well! Well done!

Does anyone have any tips for not going overboard in the January sales? I think I need to set some rules for myself incase I get tempted. I'm thinking 1) only buy HG products, and only then as long as I don't have any already "in stock" waiting to be used up. 2) Otherwise, NO TOILETRIES! I am willing to buy clothes as long as for every item I buy I throw something away.
    No more goo hoarding!
