I have some IN's to declare from the Birchbox Gift Subscription that I treated myself too:

    - Liz Earle C&P 100ml
    - Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod shower gel 300ml
    - Macadamia Hair Mask 100ml
    - Givenchy mascara sample

I'm pretty impressed considering this was technically free! It also included some teapigs samples and a fancy hair tie.

Just been catching up on the thread.

I hope you have (are having!) a lovely holiday assett, how lovely. Sounds exactly what you need.

I am really annoyed still about the REN AHA concentrate causing me to breakout :( especially as it cost me £30! I have hardly used any of it and won't use it again. If anyone has tried this and gets on with it, I am keen to sell it so please pm me if interested!

Not sure whether to try some other sort of exfoliating toner. I usually use the La Roche Posay Effaclar astringent toner which I am fine with, although this doesn't contain any strong ingredients, to my knowledge. My skin isn't sensitive at all though, just acne prone.

    I have 1 UU - 190: Soap

Quite a few splutterers, at least 3 I think.

Lots of INS to declare now :o my totals for the whole year have been looking really good but I know that Christmas and then the sales are my weakness :o will def end the year with more UU than INS but I think the margin between them will be a lot less than it has been.

80: The Body Shop Nutriganics Softening Cleansing Gel Oil 100ml - did need this and bought at 50% off

81-89: Aromatherapy Associates Miniature bath and shower oil collection 9 x 3ml - I caved and bought this :o I know that people have said they were unsure about these but I really wanted to try them for myself. Bought with 20% off. Really do not need and should have waited for sale.

90-92: Soap and Glory Good Butter Best set 3 x 50ml body butters - again do not need this and should have waited for sale but I couldn't resist. I bought this a few weeks back but have been trying to decide whether to keep for myself or give as a present. Decided to keep for myself at the moment but this may change :rotfl:
  • More UUs
Burt Bees coconut foot cream- liked this but went looking for the No7 one as a replacement and they don't seem to do it anymore?
Skin Therapy cleansing lotion- does the job and leaves my skin soft

Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

ruby_eskimo - I'd never heard of Birchbox (or any of the other beauty boxes) until I came on this thread. :o Now I know about them, it's just sooooooo tempting. MUST resist temptation!

No UUs but loads of splutterers and LHJs. Quite disheartening really!

Thanks for links, but I'm boycotting Benefit at the mo because of the advent calendar fiasco! :o

Also, I was sorting out my make up today and I have soooooo much stuff. Someone posted that it was taking ages to hit pan in their blusher. Well I have over 20 blushers! :o

As Dorcas would say, make up is my one weakness! :D

  • Asset, hope you're having a lovely time.

Rosemary, how is your son doing? Is it liquidized turkey for Christmas? Bless him.

Hope the rest of you are keeping well.

Did someone mention that Philosophy Pure Grace may be in the sales? Please let me know where and when. Thank you.
I've never bought toiletries in the January sales (well except perfume from the Next sale) so you may be leading me astray...

Right, 2 UUs today. One full size and one teeny size...

REN Hydra-calm Cleansing Milk 150ml WBA - already have one in stock, although it has been renamed Ever Calm cleansing milk. It cleanses my skin without leaving it feeling tight. This pump lasted me just over 3 months which I don't think is bad. I am going to try and use up some of my smaller cleansers before cracking open my new pump.

Avon Anew Rejuvenate Revitalising Concentrate 5ml WNBA - thicker consistency than the EH which I UU last week which was good but it smelt so chemically I didn't like it. Still missing my Collin collagen gel. I have an unopened jar that is calling me but I am trying to use up some smaller serums in my stash first. However, I have several spots so I don't think my skin is thanking me for the constant change in products. :(

Oh bumm, I was going to invest in a few shellac nail varnishes this year. Do they really ruin your nails? Iv never had it on before and im very wary of the damage gel/acrylic nails do to your own. :(

I have dry skin and very weak nails and when I tried shellac nails for 4/5 weeks my nails were in a poor state afterwards. I have recently bought a UV lamp and base and top coat, but only intend to us it for about 1 week in 3 to see if it will protect while two damaged nails grow out (atm they just break low down), but I know that I will have to slather oil on several times daily.

I think you can only try and see. I would add that the salon I used did not rough the nails up and soaked them off properly.

  • I'm going to see if my sister is willing to take a few of my toiletries off my hands this weekend, we have fairly different tastes and colourings, so things that don't work for me, might work for her. Going to find it very difficult to squeeze in any more UUs by the end of the month though, so this is my only hope to get ahead!

I think I missed this one - what happened there? I thought about getting one, but glad I didn't now.

    Evening Ladies.

Trying to catch up on the thread - but it is taking me quite a while. Haven't been on much as RL has been keeping me very busy.

Asset - Have a lovely holiday - you deserve it after what you've been through.

Did get some good news the other day - my job is secure and no interview is required. :j:j:j:j Not had time to take it in yet as I am pretty stressed with work in general (crazy hours and covering for boss's 3 week holiday) and my best friend is leaving next month to live in The States. So upset about this. :(

Anyway back on topic. This is an unbelievably slow month on the UU front. Finally can report 2 UUs. Armani Diamonds 30mls - WBA (and probably in a sale next week) & Stila lipstick called Anna which I love but has probably been discontinued.

    Nothing from my PP list....Ghr.

Edit - forgot my Maybellene Mascara was a TA - went on really clumpy even though it isn't three months old yet.

Also gonna have a bit of a root about. I am going to TA some of my more elderly make up that I will never use. Just can't stand the waste of money but they are far too old to sell. Oh well!
